I do believe in evolution but not in monkeys becoming humans. or etc. Every animal etc was sent down to earth and humans too. and they evolved with climate differences etc over thousands of years and we got many variations.
You are descended from your great-great-great grandparents, right? They're not still around, but there's a good chance you have fourth or fifth cousins also descended from the same couple. They probably don't look as much like you as your siblings do.
Now, try imagining your 50th cousins, descended from a couple who lived in about the year 1000 (I could be one of them!), you wouldn't recognise them as family.
Your 500th cousins would have had a common ancestor living about 9000 years BC and be spread all over the world.
Keep going back, and imagine your 5000th cousins, or your 50000th cousins. Some of them might be quite a bit hairier than you and live in trees.
The common ancestors and their peers have long ago turned to dust, or (very rarely) fossils, but their descendants, who all looked very much like their parents, now look very different from their distant ancestors and very different to each other.
I don't know man. Thats along time but I just don't see us changing much even in a million years. A monkey lacks the ability to speak language and I don't think you can gain that function through evolution. But the subject isn't too much a big deal to me bc I'd rather worry about the present
The apes look like us, mostly just hairier. They pull facial expressions we can recognise sometimes. The 'come hither' gesture spans human women and female apes. Of course we are decended from apes.
Indoctrination is a powerful bitch... I certainly do understand why people who only had a very basic biology education wouldn't accept it, to be fair, but the more you learn and the more you read up on it the harder it becomes to deny that it's as of right now the only suitable explanation we have for the diversity of life.
@AD240pCharlie You only have to be able to read, and to be able to ask yourself "how do they know that?", and you can find out that there are libraries full of information that support every aspect of the theory, with good reasons given for deductions, not just a single book.
@goaded Yes, I know, but most people don't have the energy or interest to do that. Unless you're in a field where an understanding of biology is important or you have a personal interest in the subject you're most likely not going to bother. It's not something that plays a big role in most people's lives after all. However, there's obviously a difference between not being informed on something and admitting that you don't properly understand it, and thinking that you do and trying to argue against it. I don't think I've seen a more perfect example of the Dunning-Kruger effect than when it comes to people who deny evolution.
@AD240pCharlie Agreed. The same approach is applicable to all areas of science, not just biology, of course. When it comes to things people made, just replace the question with "how does that work/happen?", or "what does that do?". Once you've drilled down far enough, you'll probably get to one of the sciences, and once you've found no inconsistencies, you'll learn to trust science to give you the best answers possible. (Even if it's "I don't know"/"nobody knows". "Yet".)
That is true. People with basic details or no knowledge about biology may not be able to accept it. I never expected people to disagree about proven facts and theories

Yes, there are no weak points in the theory of evolution known to me.

I don't think we transformed from monkeys. That's retarded. Why haven't the monkeys transformed

"Oh dear... This is not where i parked my car." Team Evolution.
It's still only a theory but the best explanation we have, and it's based on reason and evidence not blind faith,,,

No, I understand evolution... it's not the easterbunny, where you can believe in or not
There are still poor souls that still believe some magical entity called God created the world in 7 days
I understand it. Belief is not really required.
Um, yes? I also "believe" in gravity and that the Earth is spherical.
You have to be seriously stupid or brainwashed to not recognize evolution
No, absolutely not. The idea of it is absolutely foolish and the root of all kinds of wickedness.
Micro... yes.
Macro... no.
Yes it seems the most likely scenario of what I have heard
Well evolution by natural selection is a theory with a large amount of evidence backing it up. Unlike competing ideas like intelligent design.
Yes obviously. I had to learn about it
LMAO people in the comments🤣 Can't believe they exist
Indoctrination is a powerful bitch...

These comments are killing me. 😂 How can someone think they can attempt to refute evolution? 🤣
@loves2learn r/usernamechecksout
@AD240pCharlie lol! Why thank you.

"I never expected people to disagree about proven facts and theories "
Have you even heard of America? :)
I think its been demonstrated pretty thoroughly
I understand it snd believe in it, but also believe in Creation.
Yeah I mean there’s no other logical explanation. Maybe aliens put us here who knows lol.
Which one? It's a collection of theories.
