Actually. that's where it came from.

Some people were shouting at a sporting event - I believe it was some motor race - "F***k you Biden." A reporter overheard it while interviewing a participant in the race - whose name happened to be "Brandon."

The reporter, either deliberately or because he misheard the crowd, said that they were cheering "Let's go Brandon." All this was televised and soon became a running joke.

This made worse when, in teletown event with President Biden - either knowing what "Let's go Brandon" really meant or not realizing its' true meaning - as he hung up with the President, used the phrase. Biden, apparently not realizing what it meant, said something like "You bet," or gave it some other rhetorical thumbs up.

Thus a running gag, born or miscommunication in this age of high tech communications was born.

This is such a tribal and immature question. Stop cheerleading and stop being so illogical to assume that everyone in an entire political party is the same. Use rational discernment and realize that political theology isn’t so binary. The Democrats are always 100% in every decision, and the republicans are 100% wrong in every decision? There’s no sense in that. You’ve been spewing such hatred towards republicans asking these charged questions in an attempt to fulfill and garner some type of emotional void. There’s no intellectual discussion that comes out of questions like these. Focus on fiscal policy or something that at least matters. Talk about something that requires critical thought. This has become your identity and it’s so annoying to see republicans and democrats do this. How weak is ones identity in which they need to fully embrace and subscribe themselves to a political theology. You should be yourself and think for yourself.

The "lets go brandon" thing is like a "gang sign" so they can all feel like they belong to a special club - they've been desperate for any joke they can be "in" on instead of the butt of.
