What’s holding conservatives back from being more politically active?

There has been a growing backlash (and rightfully so) for the past few years. But mainstream conservatives just aren’t as good at organizing and mobilizing the same way liberals do. My theory it’s a combination of the following:

• Most conservatives are more about living life outside of politics. We focus on our jobs and livelihoods because we find that is what matters most.
• We have more self control and self discipline. We think twice about blurting out what is on our mind. We don’t want to come off as nut jobs. Leftists feel no shame blurting what ever crosses their mind whether right or wrong. They don’t care about what they look like. They are inherently about rebellion.
• We want to do what’s right vs BEING right So unfortunately we have a hard time maneuvering liberal guilt trip language (e. g. “racist”, “sexist”, “homophobe”). We know it’s usually cheap shot bullshit. However since we believe more in the higher road doesn’t mean other don’t mind kicking us the nuts. Cancel culture is a very real tangible example of this.
• We tend to have faith and focus more energy and time on worshiping am God. We know utopia has or not will ever exist on earth. Leftists on the other hand are usually atheists. They believe in the very false fantasy that this is possible. Politics IS their religion so they devote more time, energy and money to their causes.
• Conservatives tend to be men. We are naturally more independent and have a harder time organizing in large groups. Socializing isn’t a huge priority to us. So unfortunately we don’t have the huge networks unlike say for example feminists do.

Just my thoughts. The truth is we need to much more than just complaining and voting. This bs is getting insane.

Just for the record there are definitely some radical alt right nut jobs out there (Q’anon types). I don’t like those people anymore than any Democrat does. January 6th was very ugly and embarrassing.

However the vast majority of conservatives aren’t like that and more importantly we disdain radical idiots who participating Jan 6th. But too many democrats were “okay” with all the destruction BLM caused in 2020.

Speaking as an independent-minded and sane human being:

*Conservatives are as likely to be as obsessed with politics (especially poorly thought-out echo chamber opinions) as liberals are.
*Conservatives rarely have any self-discipline when it comes to reflexively shouting out opinions. They are as likely as liberals to have never wrestled with an issue after coming up with their hackneyed, check list of Party loyalty opinions (which is why we have wonderful terms like RINO).
*Conservatives are no more likely to take the high road than liberals, and both in fact engage in smear campaigns as a first option.
*Conservatives tend to be hypocrites when it comes to living a real moral life based on scripture, and use the excuse that since perfection is impossible in this world it's ok to tolerate obscenely stupid laws or economic and social policies. This is no more or less backward than a liberal penchant for idealizing what can be done.
*Conservatives and Liberals tend to be the poorly thought out members of either gender. The best thing that could happen to America is if both groups were to take an honest accounting of the damage they have done over the last 75 years and step back from politics so that their more moderate social betters can run the show--not that it will ever happen. They with both scream and howl until they have destroyed the country they supposedly 'love'.

Conservatives are very active but their voices are silenced. With the exception of FNC and some radio personalities, liberals have a monopoly on all messaging in this country. Even as I type this, the major news organizations are blaming the Ukraine crisis on Trump and pretending Biden is a fucking savior. It is hard to win elections when the public is constantly being bombarded with propaganda from those we expect to hear the truth from.

Both left and right are active as each other. In fact if they wasn't, you wouldn't see a conservative become president because as everyone should understand a simple basic fact is promoting your cause and advertising yourself will lead to more votes so you have to quite literally be Politically active lol.
Unless you have this sense of that Trump was just sitting down minding his own business until one day suddenly he got told he was president and randomly people just voted him in. Lol.

I went to a Trump boat parade. I was going to the beach anyway so I figured I would check it out. I expected maybe a few dozen boats. There were over 2000 boats and many of them were cabin cruisers and big sailboats all with Trump flags and American flags. There were thousands of people on the beach too. Lots of flags and signs. I had to park a half mile away and walk.

@kaneki05 despite all the other insanity liberals did from 2015 in 2020 i remember liberals put up lawn “rubbish” signs that said:

“In this house, We believe
Black Lives Matter
Women’s Rights are Human Rights
No Human is Illegal
Science is Real
love is love
kindness is everything”

While that sounded great in the surface that propaganda has been and is being used to push all sorts of far leftist insanity. And yet large droves of democratic voters had the nerve to put that up on their front lawns. That is a huge condescending step forward compared to just having “Biden 2020”.

You didn’t see large swathes of conservatives doing that. In fact many Trump voters i know were afraid of vandalism (and at least social ostracism) if they put anything indicating they planned to vote for him.

Personally I never liked Trump. But without a doubt he had a far superior policy compared the gross incompetence the Biden/Harris administration has demonstrated.

Meanwhile I will keep to the facts that both sides can and have and are politically active as each other and can also be extreme as each other. And remember conservatives have a longer history than just 2000s or just America plenty of other countries with extreme conservatives.

not sure but politics is a series of cycles each way , they'll be a period of time when liberals are highly motivated and there voters show up in heavy numbers , then a couple years later thats all over and conservatives suddenly do better and there voters more motivated to show up. so as conservatives when were in power we need to be careful to not do things that will motivate liberals to show up and vote against us.
in north america i'd say liberals are at the begining of a downward swing , they lost that virginia election fairly easily despite it being a previously reliable state. in Canada trudeau has been PM since 2015 so he's not new anymore and that new car feel starting to get old , whats odd provincial politics in Canada actually shifted more to the right since he won , last summer Nova Scotia fliped from a liberal provincial government to a conservative one despite the fact federal liberals popular there

Conservatives usually have jobs that they have to go to during the day and families they take care of when they are not working. Besides that, liberal demonstrations get wall to wall 24/7 coverage from the fakenews and a conservative demonstration will get ten seconds if that.

Because we are simply in the Minority. 50 years of Communist-Socialist view taught in school equates to a Liberal active Public. Even if Putin effects, cyber bomb Banking System, Energy Systems, and both USA and NATO command centers, hit home…Even then 35 and younger will not make connections to Democratic Socialists Party.

Being more active? They are very active as is. But what hinders them is appeal, which most voters don't have for them.
