Why are most people so bad at writing?

It’s kind of surprising how bad people are at writing. It’s like most of the population is retarded or something. They don’t know how to use basic writing practices. And just type incoherent nonsense. Like you write your thesis, or your argument and then you write things to support it. Instead you have people who don’t even know the 5 w’s (something you learn in like the first grade). Or transition poorly into another subject without explaining the first one well enough.

I wonder that too. Not only about how to structure and research and essay, but how to properly use grammar. My guess is that our education system is not individualized enough so when kids are struggling with mastering a particular subject, they don't always receive the 1:1 tutoring they need.
I mean, I probably struggled with math since first grade and never was caught up to my peers with it. I still struggle with understanding math concepts I should already know for a college-level statistics class. So my guess is that these adults were once slow to pick up on English and writing rules/concepts but never got the one on one help to help them.

Public schools are designed to “Dumb Down” American public so they can not think logically. This approach makes it almost certain that an ability, to either write or speak proficiently, will not exist.
If students can’t think, write, and speak on their own and only know “how to FEEL about everything” then they can easily be TOLD what to think.-And unable to work through the Google, CNN, Socialist Democrats and Communists messages either in written or verbal form. They want you DEPENDING UPON GOVERNMENT.
