It's more than that, isn't it? In the first place, some people are more susceptible to self-destruction than others, right? The danger starts with seeking the approval of the world at large, doesn't it? Those with low self-esteem who use social media to try to fill a void fall victim?
So then, what makes the difference from the people who remove the option to comment and who survive?

I believe the result depends on the nature of the bullying (what it’s about or why it is occurring), and the number of people involved. Bullying can be done by one person or hundreds at a time. Let me use the example of Audrey Pott who committed suicide at age 15. She attended a party during which she had too much to drink. When she passed out, a group of boys removed her clothes, drew on her body with magic marker, photographed the incidents and flooded social media with them. Upon returning to school she was humiliated and bullied beyond belief. Because of the use of social media the harassment had spread to hundreds of students, even outside of her district. Feeling that she had nowhere to run, she decided that her life was ruined and hung herself. So again…a little girl in middle school who was already self conscious about how she looked, and the high number of people involved influenced the degree or intensity of the bullying. Her parents created a foundation in her name for anyone interested. ❤️

That's an extreme case indeed. It involves involuntary private images... But I meant like when people share photos voluntarily to social media.. I heard K-pop singers committed suicide because of what people were saying online.

Yes my example might be extreme but I believe my initial analysis was correct. And in response to your excellent response, I will add the age and maturity of the recipient as a factor as well. Circumstances that might have been devastating to me at 15 years old seem so insignificant now. As an adult I would dismiss such nonsense as asinine.

This is why I don't trust drugs, ... most have side effects... the possible acid reflux of pain killers aren't as bad as mood change and affecting foetuses such as birth control pills and powerful drugs do... i love the natural route, intense diet... and if I am to die, I die naturally...

Right? It's one thing if they suddenly start showing you sensitive information about yourself then I think that's entirely different. Just name calling? Just leave, no need to have a chip on your shoulder about it
