How much of a dealbreaker is a man who is not masculine?

I recently read a Reddit thread about this topic and was quite surprised how many man on the thread do not even realize what masculinity is. One comment even said "if I have a penis I am automatically masculine" lol.

My opinion is that it is a dealbreaker for me because I am a straight woman attracted to masculinity. For those who don't know "Masculinity (also called manhood or manliness) is a set of attributes, behaviors, and roles associated with men and boys." It's a personality trait. And it's the opposite of femininity, which many men are attracted to but no one is judging it or questioning it. While woman being attracted to masculinity is judged and considered as shallow.
If you ask me, the reason most straight women are desperate nowadays is because the said masculinity is dying off in this world. Women still have the upper hand at showing their femininity through clothes and beauty products, but men are running out of resources.

I think you´re right but there´s a problem. No one knows what masculinity actually is. We live in a day and age where many especially young guys face the problem of them needing to figure what masculinity actually is because it at least seems to be subjective.
Like it´s opposite of feminity ok, but there are no clear feminine traits and there are clear masculine traits. At least what it feels to me.
I think because women have been changing because of feminism and because of all those sexual freedom movements men are currently going through some kind of change as well.
Though I´m a Christian and I don´t believe in Hinduism I do like the analogy of Ying and Yung because both need each other and dependent on each other in some.
So as far as I can see it women have been stepping up and take the lead position in more and more social aspects men try to adjust to the new situation.
Masculinity is at a crisis for now because a lot of guys lack good role-models.
Besides that the biggest obstacles guys are facing in modern times are porn and video games. Because both gives satisfaction sitting in front of a screen with no action required. You can achieve stuff that is no success in real life but you can feel good about yourself.

I’d say more and more women are becoming masculine and men are becoming feminine. Growing up a boy was often referred to in a negative way and the boys in my school were always punished for acting like boys. Fast forward to college, and toxic masculinity became a thing. Associating masculine traits with horrible things takes a toll.

I am masculine, I wear panties most the time. Why? Because they are more comfortable. Why does my wife wear my socks and shirts and my underwear? I do not ever want to look like a woman, women's underwear is better. Panties is just a word, a word assigned to ladies underwear which more and more men like. Some of the guys doing this may be sissies but not me.

My wife comments all the time about how all of a sudden guys want to behave like girls. They shave their chest hair, wear funny suits and don't act like traditional men (ie, guys from the 60s and 70s.)
