+1 yHuh? It's really a matter of self-respect, self-esteem, etc.
But what women should be educated about in schools - well it's really the parents' job - is to keep their legs closed until they meet a guy who isn't "sniffing around" them like they're a "mangy mutt in heat" handing out cheap compliments to anyone who'll listen.
I was raised in another country. What I see in western countries, specifically like the US, in comparison to women from home... is a lot of denigrates with no self-respect.017 Reply- +1 y
In essence - women should be taught to have standards.
Asker+1 yNah, men themselves admit that a guy either is all of that and therefore doesn’t want a relationship or he is in the bottom of the barrel and therefore wants to settle down because he knows he won’t have many chances. Either way, it means men don’t truly want relationships.
- +1 y
You sound like you had some pathetic lowlifes in your life. That's why women with standards, you know just any loser at the bar who smiles at them, avoid lowlifes.
- +1 y
*not just any loser at the bar I mean
Asker+1 yMen don’t want relationships. You have to avoid all men.
- +1 y
ROFL. Then why do many women & men have relationships? Hmmm... You make less than no sense.
Asker+1 yLike I said in my post, men settle down if they realize they want kids. That’s usually their main push to get in relationships. Or they aren’t the type to have many options, so they keep steady girlfriends in order to have sex consistently available to them. It always goes back to sex.
- +1 y
ROFL. You're a moron. What of people who are involved but can't biologically have children?
Asker+1 yThen the man is staying for the consistent sex. Simple, like I said.
- +1 y
ROFL. You're still a moron. Seniors don't have consistent sex. Nor do you when pregnant, dimwit. Or undergoing say chemo.
Asker+1 yI shouldn’t have to explain to you why seniors wouldn’t want to be alone. And I shouldn’t have to explain to you yet again that men will stay with someone if they want kids.
You’re annoying and stupid. Goodbye.- +1 y
@Asker - You said elsewhere you supposedly had a good father & yet all you've done is insult men. Which means you are doing nothing but insulting your father too. Troll. It's not men's fault you have no self respect, no self esteem & no standards. It's your fault.
Asker+1 yI’m not insulting men. I’m just aware of their nature, unlike you.
Asker+1 yNow go away.
- +1 y
Saying men don't want relationships isn't an insult? But then your ignorance & patheticness is an insult to men & women. Please, go away. Find a cave, like a good troll, and disappear.
Asker+1 y🤣🤣

@Asker - let me ask you something. You said men don't want relationships & yet when someone mentioned marriage you said you didn't want that. So what do you want mutt?

Most *good* fathers do exactly that. Unfortunately many women don't have good fathers, or fathers at all, and so they know little to nothing. Still you'd think they'd learn after being bitten once or twice.
Asker+1 yHonestly, too many men just want sex for a girl to even bother. Relationships and love are clearly things men have no interest in, and girls should be made aware of this so we don’t have false hopes.
- +1 y
@hypojoe - I don't know if they need high school courses per se. It wouldn't hurt. But a lot of things you mentioned come down to self-esteem, self-respect, etc. For both men and women. The pathetic guys, you mentioned, who can't take rejection... yes some males learn that the answer to no is use your fists, but if they had self esteem & self respect to begin with why would they act so?
- +1 y
@Asker - You said elsewhere you supposedly had a good father & yet all you've done is insult men. Which means you are doing nothing but insulting your father too. Troll. It's not men's fault you have no self respect, no self esteem & no standards. It's your fault.
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yThat's what father's are for!
If you grew up with a mother that believed a father wasn't necessary for that's on the mother.
To quote Chris Rock "a father has 1 job. And that's to keep his daughter off the pole". It's funny, but it's also TRUE. A father is a woman's first role model for what a MAN is. If he's a piece of s*** for a father. Or if the mother jumps from guy to guy. The daughter generally becomes the same way.
I'm sorry you just don't understand what a quality man is or looks like.111 Reply
Asker+1 yI have a good father. Still, fathers don’t teach crap about relationships, especially not to girls.
Opinion Owner+1 yNo. But half of a relationship is knowing your worth. And demanding respect. If you have no boundaries you're doomed to failure.
Asker+1 yThat’s like demanding a lion not to eat you. Men are incapable of respect when it comes to women.
Opinion Owner+1 yNope wrong again. Just the men YOU choose. Just because you are incapable of recognizing and or choosing a quality man doesn't mean they don't exist.
Asker+1 yI’m sure they exist. 1 in 100,000, sure.
Opinion Owner+1 yTo you, I'm sure that's probably true. Maybe even 1 in 1 million.
Asker+1 yNot to me, it’s the reality. Like it’s some big secret that men only care about sex. Men themselves say it all the time.
Opinion Owner+1 yMen don't only care about sex. But men CAN separate the emotional and the physical so much easier than women. So it's so much easier for a guy to have sex with a woman that he doesn't really love but is physically attracted to. Ergo the men you might be finding might be sleeping with you because you're either physically attractive or just because he's turned on. Don't want a guy to just sleep with you? Then stop engaging these types a guys.
Asker+1 yI guess they do care about other stuff sometimes, like wanting children. They almost never care about love though.
Opinion Owner+1 yAsker, Love is give and take. When you understand you have to give as well as get. You'll find love.
Asker+1 yI understand perfectly well that I have to give, thnx.
+1 yyou're like that man from the story "The Rattrap".
basically there's a poor rattrap seller who likes to think ill of the world because the world had never been kind to him. he makes up a theory about how the world is like a huge rattrap; it lures you in with wealth (like a mouse being lured in with a piece of pork) and then closes up on you, trapping you forever.10 Reply

+1 yThis is why some men joke that feminism is the best thing to happen to men. Took most of our responsibility and societal expectations away.
What you’re actually complaining about is a result of societal decay. Our parents didn’t warn us about this because it was a gradual process that accelerated rapidly in the last 2 decades. The destruction of the family unit is all but inevitable at this point and the cause is a lot more malicious than “men are bad”.16 Reply
Asker+1 yNo, I’m not interested at all in the way it was, which was basically men feeling obligated to marry due to societal expectations.
- +1 y
Well then why are you complaining? Isn’t this what you wanted?
Asker+1 yI want something real. What you’re describing is not real. I’d rather have this than something fake. I just want girls to be informed, that’s all.
- +1 y
Fair enough. You could start with changing what feminism has become. It’s not doing young girls any favors and doesn’t prepare them for the real world.
What women go through in their late 20’s and early 30’s is what most guys go through right out of high school or college. No one cares about young men, so it hardens guys from a young age.
Asker+1 yWhat do u they go through exactly?
- +1 y
@Asker - I'd ask if you were drunk if you weren't obviously a troll. You said men don't want relationships yet here you said you don't want marriage. What do you want then? A fuck toy on a dog's leash?
1.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. My parents didn't teach me that "men are ruthless", they just taught me to not associate with lowlifes. To this day I have not had any trouble with men, with the exception of the one time I strayed from that rule.

Asker+1 yI didn’t either at 22. You’re still young, but hopefully u got something out of this post.
Asker+1 yOh, that’s nice, although the chances of something going horribly wrong in a marriage are significantly high.
- +1 y
The chances of anything going horribly wrong in someone’s life is significantly high lol.
Asker+1 yMy parents are still together actually, and my dad has cancer, so I would appreciate that you didn’t make baseless comments about them.
Only reason I said that is because of your young age. Marriages after the age of 25 are significantly more likely to not end in divorce.- +1 y
If you feel them need to appeal to emotion to strengthen your argument, then I must not to too far from the truth. I would say raising a daughter with low emotional stability and poor logic is a pretty good base.
Also the biggest predictor of divorce is one or both people being a contemptuous, which is why you haven't had a healthy relationship and never will with that attitude. Also number is sex partners highly impacts marital satisfaction, which obviously you wouldn't be so bitter about men if you weren't keeping them so "close".
If you think everyone else is the problem, the truth is you are actually your own problem.
Asker+1 yI’m not trying to win an argument, and as far as I’m concerned there is no argument here. I’m telling you to be more respectful and not make groundless accusations.
I’m also simply telling you that the chances of your marriage lasting is quite low just based on the fact that you married young. That’s a simple fact. I’m not happy about that fact. Obviously I have no ill will toward your marriage. All the best to it, in fact.
Don’t bother replying cuz I’ll just delete it.- +1 y
I'm just going to say it one more times since you'll probably never hear it again, and your parents never had the heart to tell you:
If you feel like everyone else is the problem, you are in fact your own problem. Have a good day, hope you one day learn to follow logic rather than your feelings.

+1 yI do think every young man should be required to go through a 40 hour course (like OSHA 40) about the dangers of women, false accusations, paternity fraud, "accidental" pregnancy, and marriage. This course should be a requirement for graduation from high school and mandatory before obtaining a driver's license.

The problem is that many people simply reject old wisdom. You and the men who hurt you are a product of modern culture, as are your parents.26 Reply
Asker+1 yThere’s nothing modern about my parents. I’m from Southern Europe and simply have lived in the US since I was about 8.
Are u referring to the old wisdom of being married off to a man and becoming his property, so that he can have biological children while also being able to screw around with other women?
Opinion Owner+1 yThat's not what happened, that's feminist BS. Of course you're a feminist. That's why you end up with losers.
Asker+1 yNot a feminist.
Opinion Owner+1 yYou might not identify as one, but you have feminist ideas.
Asker+1 yAnd I also don’t have feminist ideas. Are u saying I can’t agree with one thing that feminism stands for without being a feminist? No wonder the US is so fucked up. U people can’t understand what a middle ground is if it hit you in the face.
Opinion Owner+1 yI’m not even American.
That is what I’m saying, yes. All feminist ideas destroy a person’s ability to have a functional relationship.
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yLol you must have had some shitty men in your life. Now the only thing you have to look forward to is your 30 cats and old age.
Asker+1 yI just got two kittens. They’re the sweetest.
Opinion Owner+1 yWell hopefully you don’t end up w more. Cats are nasty I don’t care for them. So why this question about men?
Asker+1 yI just wanted one, but they are brothers, so I felt bad to separate them. I won’t get more. I even slightly regret getting these two at times cuz they’re a lot of work.
I guess I’m bitter. I would’ve liked to not be a byproduct of a fake culture, that’s all.
Opinion Owner+1 ySo what brought you to being bitter if you don’t mind me asking? I mean men obviously but what happened?
Asker+1 yThe same thing that other naive, young girls here always complain about - being used by men. Although not in the conventional sense in my case, since I’ve never actually been with a man in person.
Opinion Owner+1 ySo how exactly were you used by men?
Asker+1 yI’d rather not say, but fine. I sexted with a guy I met online for many, many years, and of course he said he liked me and cared about me, but I should’ve known better… and I’m convinced I would’ve known better had I not been fed misinformation about men growing up.
Opinion Owner+1 yWhat misinformation exactly were you misfed? Well there’s no real way I think a person can fully care about someone just through texting I’d you’ve never met. Especially if he was younger. He may care about you to a point yea, but I’d have to meet someone to truly know them. I’m sorry for your experience, but not all men are like this as I’m sure you’d already heard numerous times. I mean honestly I think a lot of men could say similar things about women as far as how a lot of women are. So you’ve never actually been w a man physically?
Asker+1 yWell, take Disney movies, for example; they brainwash girls from a young age.
No, he never cared about me even a little, and it was often clear in his actions. He just said the right things in order to have a long-term sexting buddy. We did have a chance to meet eventually and he just wanted to meet to fuck, whereas before that he would say he’d take me to see certain places he liked, etc.
And then there’s my brother who treats his girlfriend like crap. I don’t know why she stays with him..
No, I haven’t.
Opinion Owner+1 yI’m sorry to hear that. Yes Disney does portray a lot of shit in their movies that way, but it’s what sells. At the same time while you feel you’ve been duped a lot of men feel screwed in a lot of ways too because of Disney movies as well. Because in reality women grow up thinking that’s how life is supposed to be so they hold men to those standards of a fairy tale life but at the same time the man is also realizing that too. That fairy tale movies like Disney have made him feel he has to live up to these standards which honestly a majority of men aren’t. I mean yes we do special things here and there for our women but it’s not an everyday thing. Those things I think don’t come to us naturally as men. So we’ve both been duped as women and men. As for why your brother’s girlfriend continues to be w him well there could be a lot of reasons. Maybe she was raised in that type of environment that that’s all she knows. That to her that is the way things are supposed to be. She may feel she’s ugly, that she will never meet someone else. There’s a lot of reasons.
Asker+1 yI don’t want something special every day, I just want to be loved. I’m a romantic, I can’t help it. I guess in the same way, men can’t help that they are wired to spread their seed and not form attachments. And I’m not blaming them for that.
Opinion Owner+1 yDo you mind if I ask why you never had a boyfriend growing up?
Asker+1 yU mean as a teen?
Opinion Owner+1 yYes, even up to now.
Asker+1 yI guess it was sort of an unspoken rule that I wasn’t allowed to date. My dad was strict and very protective. As for now, I don’t know. I don’t really like meeting new people.
Opinion Owner+1 ySo do you think your dad was partly responsible for how you are now as far as your experience or lack thereof w men? Did your dad treat you like a princess? Spoiled you? Daddy’s little girl?
Asker+1 yHe did try to give us a good life, but that includes my brothers. I guess I was sort of his favorite because we are very similar, but he was very strict with me - probably the most strict with me.
I never liked to place blame on a person’s childhood for the way they turn out, but lately I do think it shaped me… oddly. Or maybe I was just more susceptible to it due to my character.
Opinion Owner+1 yWell I do tend to think a person’s childhood upbringing has a lot to do w the way they turned out. Because when you’re a kid you have no real knowledge of life so what you see from grown ups in life makes you feel that that is normal. Maybe that’s why women who see their mom’s abused grow up to be w men like that who co to use to always go back. I ask if he treated you like a princess because that in a way, although I get what the father is doing w his daughter, it reinforces in her mind that men are all supposed to treat her this way and give her everything she wants cause she’s a princess. So the dude you were texting is that the only “real” relationship you’ve ever had?
Asker+1 yHe did treat me well, overall, and he tried to give us the material things we wanted when he could, but I was definitely not allowed to do anything I wanted or hang out with friends much.
It wasn’t a relationship. We were sexting buddies. But I suppose it was the closest thing to a relationship, yes. I still sext with guys cuz I… need to, but it’s just that.
Opinion Owner+1 yYou need the sexting? Or just the interaction w a male? Or is there that urge there to be sexual?
Asker+1 ySometimes I like the interaction, but in those cases I’ll just have a normal conversation. I sext when I’m horny. I know I could watch porn, so I don’t really need it, but sexting feels more interactive.
Opinion Owner+1 ySexting is more interactive because the person can respond to your wants. So a thought. It makes me wonder what that is like sexting w someone who has never had sex? I mean how do you describe such things w out having experienced them? Just from what you see on porn? Is it hard for you to meet someone who you’d be interested in?
Asker+1 yYes, what I’ve seen and how I imagine it would feel like and how I know guys want it to feel like. It’s not much different than a writer writing about a fantasy adventure.
I guess it is, partly because I don’t meet many people. I’m very introverted and like to keep to myself.
Opinion Owner+1 ySo if you could meet someone what would this person be like ideally? Do you work? Go to school?
Asker+1 yIdeally? I guess intelligent, ambitious, compelling, handsome/cute, at least 5’9, preferably brunette. Is that considered too picky?
I’m in school. Why?
Opinion Owner+1 yNo that’s not too much to ask. Very simple really. A lot of women in reality want more including financial bookoo cash. I don’t think you’re asking a lot. I’m 5’10, just saying not that it matters. As for why I asked what you do, we’ll just to get to know a little about you really. Have you ever tried talking to your mom about this as far as dating? Meeting someone?
Asker+1 yNo, I don’t feel comfortable talking to anyone in real life. She does want me to meet someone as most moms do.
Opinion Owner+1 ySo where you from if you don’t mind me asking? Well I hope that you do meet someone one day. I think there’s someone for you. You deserve love as well as does everyone else. Someone to be yourself w, to laugh w, to have fun w. Someone who will love you regardless of what flaws you think you may have.
Asker+1 ySouthern Europe. I don’t think it’s in the cards for me, but I’m more okay with it now. I have my two cats. lol
Opinion Owner+1 yI think you’ll meet someone. I wish there was more I could do to help cause I think everyone should experience the love and affection of a partner. You don’t have any close make friends?
Asker+1 yNot even female friends.
Opinion Owner+1 yWhy’s that? Do you mind if I ask what you look like?
Asker+1 yI had friends in high school, but I kinda stopped talking to all of them and then never really made any new ones, just acquaintances.
Sure. I’m 5’5, 135 lbs, brunette, dark brown eyes, white.
Opinion Owner+1 yAny particular reason why you stopped talking to them? I kind of get it. I mean I stopped talking to a lot of the people I knew in high school just cause many of them were fake, stuck up. Didn’t feel that connection w them like they thought they were better.
What about things like tattoos or piercings? Do you look like anyone famous?
Asker+1 yI think I was too lazy to keep up with them and we just went our separate ways. I really didn’t feel a strong connection with them, though.
No, I’m not a fan of tattoos. I have my ears pierced.
Opinion Owner+1 yWhat time is it in Europe? It’s 1:20 am here in the states. So tell me something random about you.
Asker+1 yI’ve lived in the US for a long time now.
