Well, he's an idiot of course.
Let's take that first graphic and continue its logic:
STATES: Abortion is none of our business until the fetus is viable, so we revert the issue back to the women.
>>> That's what Roe v. Wade did.
It's rooted in the Tenth Amendment:
===
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
===
To the current SCOTUS, they think it's only:
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively.
and that the people can go fuck themselves.
That's the difference between this Supreme Court and the one 50 years ago.
50 years ago, people's lives actually mattered.
Didn’t the Supreme Court back then make getting an abortion a constitutional right before seeing if the country and its citizens felt the same way?
This recent overturning makes it so it is not a constitutional right and that the power goes back to the states and it’s citizens to decide how they feel about abortion.
I’m not sure it was the right decision to make a constitutional right.
I don't agree with Ben. I don't give much credence to throwing entire populations into left or right either. Living in a representative republic as we are, it's never really certain that legislators are voting the way their constituents actually want them to. Much of this is dependent on location. However, overall polling by the Pew Foundation (they're about the best evidence based outfit going) shows that 41% of all Americans favor abortion up to 14 weeks with few exceptions, and an additional 22% say "it depends".
So for Ben to unilaterally declare the "the left" considers babies a burden, tool or obstacle, is silly. He's gotta sell his brand though. It's much more realistic to point to the "right's" lack of legislative support for post-natal programs, policies and aids to mothers giving birth in poverty or slightly above. That's documentable, while Ben's statements are mostly emotional.
I don’t like this guy. But basically the left is saying that abortion is an established right (lawyers call it stare decisis, which is Latin for “it’s already been decided”) and the Supreme Court shouldn’t take it away.
He makes sense, not the federal governments business... its the states business. The left for some reason, thinks state governments should be dissolved and we should have a giant central government.

It is his usual clear thinking!
Seems like he's trying to make hatred of women seem edgy and cool instead of just hatred of women by painting it in the tone one would use if they had discovered a contradiction. And probably the majority of his audience will believe he has pointed one out, even if they don't understand what it is, because that was the whole point of all the loyalty.
Factually, what’s incorrect about the first post though?
I agree that the second can have numerous interpretations based a lot on one’s political affiliation.
You want me to explain what is incorrect about a Shapiro post? His whole niche is that he crafts single sentences that take like four theses to explain why it's wrong.
But for starters, saying the left and the media are the same is a lie, as he is part of the media. Indeed far right entities often brag about how they dominate media consumption. It's the sort of thing one would like to manifest as shit to spread on his underwear and then rub his nose in it until he either stops lying, as one would a dog, or stops breathing, as one would a traitor. How odd it is that the right constantly tries to assault civility when all of their lives depend on it so entirely.
But of course also he is not quoting anyone on the left. Just because the word choice is tossed in there doesn't mean everything around it isn't in bad faith.
I think he separates the two, saying “the left AND media”
But I’m talking about what he says about the overturning specifically.
What is wrong about it?
The thing that is incorrect is the idea that the left is saying the SCOTUS is sticking their nose in people's business. That is a completely fabricated straw man to conjure a fake zinger out of thin air. What the left is actually saying is the SCOTUS is allowing states to stick their nose into people's business. The idea of federal protections from state governments being overly intrusive is what most of the constitutional ammendments are specifically written to curtail. That's what a "right" even is. A lot of state constitutions mimic the national one but it is perfunctory as the federal rights would presumably be enforced if any state violated them anyway. That is, as I said, the entire point. It just saves some steps for each state to write it into their own constitutions as well. In any case, the ruling that "it is none of our business" is false. The right to bodily autonomy is a fourth amendment right and absolutely their business, therefore. This is all just a far right disinfotainer trying to make it hilarious that sluts will now be condemned to have a hungry child screaming at them instead of pursuing a better standard of living, just because some self absorbed guy ejaculated in them and then ran off.
No, because abortion is a choice; you can do it or not do it. Banning abortion takes away that choice. Convservative or not, only an IDIOT would choose to allow the government to take away the choices you have to your body and life. (And no, I'm not even Liberal or on the Left. Am pro-choice, though.)
While that's how the law may be written or read, that is not the intent of the Supreme Court. The purpose was not strictly to give rights to the state.
It is a thin veil.
Reason falls on deaf ears to those that support the overturning.
I fear for my and every other woman's future.
I completely agree with this Ben Shapiro is completely right like he normally is and should be sitting on the Supreme Court get rid of Robert’s for Shapiro
I don't understand why all the alt right people in America declare war against the left and any other political opponents, they're so arrogant and ignorant 🙄
Not an actual war, it's just constant attacking each other over every issue, it's like they have to constantly disagree with each other
Yeah obviously, because the supreme court is full of extreme Christian conservative nutjobs
Republicans have destroyed the already failing country
Educate yourself
He's spot on. The federal government needs to focus on their actual job. Kamala is in charge of the border, and she's never been there.
SCOTUS has gotten the US Government out of the abortion business. We never should have been in it. I agree with that.
I agree with the first picture. The second one is true in some cases, possibly many, but not a statement I think should be expressed that generally.
I wonder what Ben Will say if/when the republicans take both houses and the presidency and attempt to pass a federal abortion ban? hmmmmm
They hate Ben because he gives them the bad tasting medicine, he speaks truth to power. Big meany telling mean facts.
he's right they only hold standards until it is convenient then abandon them
Have you read it yet?
He is totally correct.
He’s correct on both counts.
He is absolutely right.
I love Shapiro's sarcasm.
“my wife’s a doctor folks”
He is correct.
He's spot on!
No clue who he is
We took crap for 50 years ago somewhere else
he's right.
Sounds about right
He’s right.
