Typically, revolutions are not good. Many people die and, if it succeeds, the new rulers may be much worse; for example, Castro and Mao Zedong. However, unlike the past, a revolution may not be possible. In the middle ages, most people never traveled more than 50 miles from where they were born and they knew everyone in the village and nearby towns. Now if a group is formed, there is no way to know if a member is an FBI agent. Furthermore, if the serfs raised an army a couple hundred miles, it would take two weeks for the king to learn about it. If fact, he may not know until they were at the castle gates. Now there is instant communication. Also, they would have comparable weapons. A knight would be better trained and his sword would be a better weapon but half dozen serfs could take down a knight. Now with helicopter gunships able to fire a million rounds minute and other weapons, even a thousand people may not be enough. Also, they would have drones flying too high to shoot down operated from and underground bunker several hundred miles away. Furthermore, to maintain power, if the people raised an army, the rulers wouldn’t hesitate to nuke the army even if it meant destroying a city such as Dallas.
