Why can't the Welsh be more like Native Americans, and get their land/island back?

The Welsh are an ageless Celtic tribe that dwelled on that island for thousands of years, until the white man showed up (English/Germans and Scots-Irishmen/Scandinavians). Yes, the Welsh were not white and to this day they still aren't, their brownish-skin and hair and eyes prove it. Anyway, the Welsh were suddenly and relentlessly genocided and the survivors were pushed to the region of Western Britain which is modern day Wales, where they continue to be forgotten and oppressed.

Welsh people who are "proud to be British" and have no issue with the Enlish and Scots are just assimilated. If the Welsh were truly proud, they would batter every Englishmen and Scotsman/Irishman up and down Britain.

Parts of Wales were first conquered by the Romans, which is why there are places like Caernarfon, Caerleon, Caerwent, as well as the capitol city of Cardiff. (Caerdydd). Now then, having lived for a term in Wales, there are definitely some Welsh nationalists, and some of them are definitely not fans of Westminster, it seems that most are content with the devolution a few decades ago. Most of the “tribalism” seems to be limited to whichever team WRU is playing in the Six Nations.
