It refers the the 5th amendment of the constitution. It protects people from being forced to incriminate themselves. It does not mean Trump is guilty. Trump refuses to say anything because he knows that no matter what he says it will be taken out of context or misconstrued to mean something else.
A lot of people choose not to say anything for themselves, knowing the people who are after them will take every little thing they say and twist it against them into something more suitable their agenda, like they've done to Trump 987 billion times in the last 6 years
No. Pleading the fifth is a legally neutral statement; it's more of an "I'll get back to you on that" than "this will go badly for me." Pleading the fifth is the legal equivalent of if you're on a date with woman and you ask her about her passions and she says something to the effect of "my passions are always changing."
If you don’t like freedom, you are welcome to move to a lesser country like china, Russia, Canada and Australia. Thank goodness we live in an amazing country with laws written by our forefathers to protect us from tyranny.
It means if you answer you are pretty much saying that you'd be either committing a crime (undercover not being able to state their name in court) or admitting to having committed a crime (even if it wasn't the one you are accused of). Yet, since you didn't answer, nobody knows exactly why you plead the fifth. Essentially it's a non answer.
Also Trump is guilty. Impeachments mean that he did what he was accused of. The impeachment is merely to decide if that warrants his removal from holding political office. Seeing as the president may need to do certain things that are not lawful to protect the US, he is exempt from certain laws, yet if he oversteps those bounds too much he may be removed for doing so. He did what he was accused of for each impeachment, but it was decided that that didn't mean he couldn't hold political office again.
no he is not and he was not impeached out of office. FBI has been proven to produce fake evidence , they lied to judges about evidence. The FBI is now a branch of Democratic Party. I
@888theGreat Impeachmentbis a process to decide if the president should be removed from office for what he did. The investigation proved that he committed an impeachable offense.
@888theGreat it was impeachable. Otherwise the impeachment hearing wouldn't have been held. All impeachment decides is whether or not what they did is enough to remove them from office. There's no debate about it being done, it was done.
Again , these are Democrats. They don't have standards , no morals, lie , plant evidence, edit evidence so it makes someone look guilty. They never apply same thing to fellow Democrats
Trump kind of set the bar on this one. He once said, "If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?" So I guess by this standard, he's GUILTY. This comes from the 'Law And Order' president.
You know what pleading the fifth means. Trump’s attorneys are actually giving him good advice. Trump often says stupid things that make him sound guilty when he really isn’t (Mueller investigation).
Of course it is not an admission of guilt. We all have the right to invoke the 5th. But a few years ago, Trump and all his turd followers claimed that taking the 5th was an admission of guilt.

He is guilty.
The only thing to argue about is to what extent. He's got no friends or colleagues left to throw under the bus. So he's going to start with family, it seems.
Being convicted beyond a reasonable doubt means you're guilty. I know you fucktards hate people using their constitutional rights, so this is no surprise.
They don't have him on anything it's just another drama tv show that nothing will come out of it. I'm not watching it I am however shouting TRUMP 2024.
It's your right to remain silent and you should utilize that religiously. Utilizing that constitutionally protected right is not indicative of guilt and shame on you for implying it is.
@joeldalton Yea, English actually think they still matter in the world. Only thing they still have is James Bond movies and a few nice cars. Notice when another country needs help, it is America they turn to, not England. I mean if they need a man servant , then yes, they consider England.
The British believe that sufficient proof comes from browbeating confessions out of innocent people, so without the them we wouldn't even have a 5th amendment.
It means he using his constitutional rights , something you liberals hate. Since you hate the constitution. He is tired of the crooked judges and prosecutors that are trying set him up.

It means choosing not to testify

It's referring to the Fifth Amendment which states you don't have to tell authorities or the judge anything that could potentially incriminate you.
Usually, but not necessarily. You know how the media loves to twist everything he says, so they're probably just being cautious

nope, Democrats said it was impeachable , which clearly means it wasn't. They think anti abortionists are terrorists.

@888theGreat there wasn't any need to plant or edit evidence Trump's mobsrmters had enough of it themselves

It means they don't trust him to not lie and perjure himself.
His own lawyers…
I wouldn't trust him to not talk. It wouldn't even be hard to bait him. Hit him in his pride and he will blabber on.
Nd make some stupid outlandish claim thats irrelevant but proved wrong. Boom jail.
You know what pleading the fifth means. Trump’s attorneys are actually giving him good advice. Trump often says stupid things that make him sound guilty when he really isn’t (Mueller investigation).
At this point with all these people against him trying to find something to stick. It would be stupid not to.
Honestly i dont disagree with you. And this is the smartest thing trump has done.
Even if he was absolutely innocent (highly doubtful) I’d advise he keep his dumbass mouth shut anyway.
Of course it is not an admission of guilt. We all have the right to invoke the 5th. But a few years ago, Trump and all his turd followers claimed that taking the 5th was an admission of guilt.

denocrats depise the constitution

As a citizen, they have enough for a life sentence. As a former president, maybe.
A person can use the 5th Amendment to not answer a question which May incriminating in some way.
It's your right to remain silent and you should utilize that religiously. Utilizing that constitutionally protected right is not indicative of guilt and shame on you for implying it is.
Plain and simple: it means withholding incriminating information, which for him, is already closing the barn after the horses get out.
It means he's a coward and he's guilty.
wow, then so are Democrats which use this all the time
Reason 10,432 We kicked the English out.

@888theGreat And they’ve emasculated James Bond, so they don’t even have that.
@joeldalton I think they plan to make him a homo chasing men's pp's and ball sacks
new meaning to tea bagging (you know they love tea)
she's allowed an opinion jackasses. If she was a judge, youd have a point.
The British believe that sufficient proof comes from browbeating confessions out of innocent people, so without the them we wouldn't even have a 5th amendment.
Trump seems to think that you don’t need to plead the fifth if you’re innocent.
He has said that before, but he always says things like that when it's someone he wants to see punished whether they are guilty of anything or not
His own "rules" do not apply to him
It means he using his constitutional rights , something you liberals hate. Since you hate the constitution. He is tired of the crooked judges and prosecutors that are trying set him up.
I love that everything against right wingers is crooked…
