I’m a 33 year old man and started to cry thinking about the one day my cat will die does this level of sensitivity turn women off?

Question

I read an post about someone sad their furry friend died and thought about my cat one day dying and I choked up. As a man I felt disturbingly weak and deep down I think I should be skinning my cat alive using it’s meat for sustenance and fur to make a hat for the winter that to me is what a man is- a pragmatic, strong, ruthless utilitarian. Perhaps I am flawed or just raised in a first world lifestyle that made me a weak shadow of my ancestors?

You just reminded me of my parakeet I had for several years. When I was 14 I think, he got sick. I walked into the living room one morning and found him dead on the floor. I called my parents who were at work and they told me to put him into his cage. I went into my bedroom, got on my bed, and cried for a few hours. My parents came home and also cried. We buried him in a nearby forest. It's totally normal to cry when you lose someone you love.

When women say they like a “sensitive” man, what they mean is a man who is sensitive TO them and FOR them. Clearly normal. Come to our house you'll leave with hair on your clothes. If you don't like it... stay away. Our 4-legged are the kings and queens here. They are on the couch and everything else. When one is at the vet we both are completely beside ourselves and I don't even speak to my husband's before we get the call "come get her/him. It's all good. $345.50 including tax please " and we race off to get our family member back 💖

No I think it’s sweet that you care for your cat. My man and I had to put ours down earlier this year and we both cried for months. Losing a pet is a legitimate loss and reason to grieve.

What the fuck? No, I'd be way more turned off by a guy who wants to skin his cat, eat it, and make a hat out of the fur.

I want an emotional man, and it saddens me that so many men are either extremely unemotional, or just repress it so much. If I saw a guy crying over his cat's potential death, that'd be a positive point for him. I'd think it's really sweet that he cares so much, and I'd like that he was open with his emotions enough to cry.

I'd think it's sweet. Plus, seeing a man crying is kind of interesting to me, they never do that. I kind of like that it makes them seem human.

Sensitivity that would be a turn off is if you took everything like an insult and always got mad or overly sad, people like that are so frustrating.
