Has Biden acted to reduce gas prices only because of the midterm elections? If so, do you expect gas prices to start rising after the election? (Page 2)
i personally don't think that Biden had any positive influence on the gas prices. but of course if they go down for some reason, i'd say i did it, if i was the president xD
Approval of offshore drilling, approval of drilling in the ANWR, completion of the Keystone Pipelne, and permitting of additional refineries would not affect the cost of gasoline? And maintaining a better relationship with the Saudis would have no effect on the price of oil? I think those things all affect the price, but not directly.
well he fucked up relations with russia through nato which increased the cost of oil pretty much globally by a lot. i don't thin the relations with the saudis does anything to the price. the market regulates the price, not biden or the saudis.
i don't know how much the pipeline and the offshore drilling did for the price.
but i guess he helped the economy by selling weapons to he ukraine. firing the war that he started. good on him. yeah you can say russia started the war all you want but i don't think russia would have made a move if biden didn't try to make ukraine part of nato.
yeah maybe what you mentioned helped the situation a bit. I don't know if it comes out as a positive or negative all things considered. probably negative, factoring in the raging inflation.
The price of gas depends on the price of oil and the cost per barrel depends on whether the Saudis are imposig daily production limits. It also depends on the availabilty of refineries to process crude oil into gasoline.
the gas price depends on the price of oil and vice versa. so you're saying that overall the fuck ups he did are outweighed by the ways in he was trying to improve the price? i don't think so. but i have no way of calculating that and making a quantitative statement.
yes and gas prices should go up after the midterms as he shuts off his initiatives

people still spreading this lie. Nothing to do with him. Everything to do with appearances. Every blue prez. But red has always controlled the prices. Fact.
Gas prices are always manipulated to go up during Democratic administrations and go down during Republican administrations because the oil companies are basically owned by Republicans. It's time we nationalize these companies.

Yes, and it really hasn't worked either, at least not significantly.
Of course , and held Rail workers strike off until after , and begged Saudi Prince to not cut production until after elections. He is also buying stocks to get DOW up. No telling what else.
The price increased because of the sanctions on Russia. We personally did not use Russian oil, but many countries that imposed sanctions did. Equal demand for less supply increases costs.
The President has NO INFLUENCE on gas prices at all. As much as Trump destroyed this country and contributed to substantial increase the the covid death toll, I can't blame him for gas.
According to federal goernment statistics, the nationwide price of gas in the third week of January 2017, when Trump began his term, was $2.358 per gallon. The nationwide price of gas in the third week of January 2021, when Trump's term ended, was $2.379 per gallon. www.eia.gov/.../LeafHandler.ashx
How reasonable of you to not blame Trump for everything.

Dude he actually begged opec to reverse their cutoff until after midterms. What does that tell you?

You are saying that Democrat presidents can't control gas prices but Republican presidents can?
It did that at Saudia Abria and they call his bluff

Yes, and it really hasn't worked either, at least not significantly.
The price of Gas at one Gas Station today was $4.99 a gallon, and at this other one it was 1.00 cheaper.

and again, the president has no influence on gas prices. That Traitor has plenty to answer for.
If he has no influence on gas prices, then why is he taking credit for the gas prices falling for the past 2-3 months?
Yes I believe this to be the case.
Very possible.
I voted F. Gas prices will go way up.
Thank you for the Like
Gas prices already started to rise again
He’s doing it on purpose
