One thing that pushes me to the Conservative Party is the hatred of America from a lot of liberals. I actually grew up loving my country and I would stand proudly for the flag as a kid. I still love my country and I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. I always wonder about those that hate America because they always refuse to leave, regardless. It’s as if they know deep down how spoiled and lucky they are to have been born here.
Why are there a lot of Americans from the younger generations that hate America?
Because they haven't in person seen or experience the real hell someone countries in this world is like with zero safety, very low employment, extreme government corruption, no human rights, no healthcare at all, hardly no education, food scarcity and filth all over for them to realize the beauty of this country even though it has some bad ways, but compared to most countries around the world America is easily a top 10 best country.
They were brainwashed by Liberals/Progressives. And this is the first step of Active Measures as "it takes 15 to 20 years to brainwash a generation to make them hate their own country." Demoralization, or as we know it, Woke Culture, is the second step. Make everything about "hate and bigotry" and shove it in your face so much, you feel like giving up on society.
So, for me (and I’m older than you, so maybe not a younger generation than yours, but younger than the previous generations who may be more patriotic), I come from an unconventional starting point where I don’t really believe the concept of nations to be valid. They obviously tangibly exist, but only in the mind of humans, and another core belief of mine is that humans are basically just another animal, not the “main character” of Earth, so anything we think collectively as a species isn’t golden…. just to pre-explain why I’m not married to some of the desired outcomes of an organized society. I feel like we’re meant to be lone wolves or in small tribes, living primitively, and everything since then has been a series of terminal missteps, not a manifested destiny of progress.
With that out of the way, lmao…. within the context of what we’re attempting to do, however incorrect it may be (at least in my opinion), I think what I don’t respect about America/Americans are the life priorities. This may not be unique to America, this may just be a problem of humanity as a whole, but either way, one thing I’ll never do is grade on a curve and accept “best available option” as “ideal”, or even “acceptable”, when it comes to countries and societies.
I was taught that the forefathers of America, and other American historical figures, were all just heroes, deserving of unquestioning reverence. Then you get a little further into the details, and you realize these are flawed humans like the rest of us. That doesn’t mean you have to throw out anything they ever did or said, but we should be utilizing the expanded wisdom that our generations have over the generations alive in those days. The world is pretty drastically different today than it was 25 years ago. 25 years ago was like living in “the future” compared to 50 years before that, and like a hundred years before that we were jussssttttttt getting to the whole “you know…maybe it’s not that chill to buy and sell other humans and make them work for us for the most basic of needs, just enough to keep them alive and healthy enough to do the work.” Just shy of a hundred years before that were these wig-wearing dudes we see on our currency, and think about what their principles were. “All men are created equal! The white ones, anyway. Actually, some of them are beneath us, too. ……. But OUR KIND of white people, WE’RE all created equal!” I can appreciate a lot of what they were trying to establish governmentally, but it’s also not lost on me that freedom is supposed to be free of charge and absolute. “Freedom isn’t free” because people try to make it not so, but never forget that it’s absolutely supposed to be, and you shouldn’t have to fight for it or thank anyone, it’s supposed to be your natural state of being, complete with all the perils that come with everyone else you encounter having the same thing. Any type of governmentally-controlled society is filtered freedom, collected by someone else and dispensed back to you in whatever measure they see fit.
I have to run and cut this shorter than I intended, but I’m basically just working my way to saying that I think we’re becoming better critical thinkers (still not very good, but improved…although social media and partisan news media seems to be setting us back), and with that improvement, plus easier access to knowledge (internet), increasing numbers of educated people, etc, and then just the natural passage of time (greatly exacerbated by The Industrial Revolution, literally an exponentially different world today vs the 1700s, I’d wager no greater rate of human advancement has ever occurred in a 200-250 year window), it all leads to questioning wisdoms of the past. The Founding Fathers may have had some innovative ideas, but they didn’t have the benefit of hindsight. And lastly, our society is culturally very, very different, and very heterogeneous. Everything that was built back then was only accounting for a mostly homogenous society, or at least one with one specific demographic running the whole show. Gotta go, as I said, but in short, crucial and in some cases, relatively drastic adjustments must be made in order to move forward properly.
Easy. They grew up with sparkles in their eyes, listening to their parents about the glorious country of USA. They read about their founding fathers, how they fought for their freedoms and rights. They truly believed in the mythology of USA about how it was the greatest country in the world.
Then they grew up. The country that they see around themselves does not meet up to the promises always told to them as a child. They see how their parents and their parents work year by year to destroy their childrens freedoms and rights. They go on the internet and see countries that looks like how USA was supposed to be. They become angry for what you have done to the country of their childhood, the desecration of the greatest country in the world. They become enraged when what should have been freedom is perverted to totalitarianism, how happiness is replaced with compliance, how prosperity is stolen by the rich and powerful.
If USA was just another country then maybe they would not feel as much, but because they had pride and patriotism for the country they were told existed they are enveloped by righteous fury.
In their eyes, they are the patriots and you are the traitors and they will fight you like their founding fathers before them. That is why, you will lose.
Yeah this is so true, when you realize that the only thing about the "American Dream" is to get rich, and that's pretty damn hard with the pay they give the average "American" except if you're smart and figure out that a side hussle helps the most.

You poison the environment, you strip us of our bodily autonomy, you take away our rights to defend ourselves and our homes, you restrict free speech, you divide us and put us against each other, you put us in debt whilst not raising our wages to livable standards, you bankrupt us when we seek medical care or higher education, you punish people for owning or smoking a plant more harshly than most of the few rapists you deem fit tk even take to court on charges. Etc. Etc. And you seriously ask why people hate this shit hole?

“You poison the environment” China is the worlds largest emitter of greenhouse gases. “You take away our rights to defend ourselves and our homes” Nobody is doing that. You still have the second amendment. “You put us in debt while not raising wages to liveable standards…” You have access to affordable healthcare insurance. Many jobs even offer it as an employee. You don’t have to go to university to make money. There are many other routes to take. There is also a lot of opportunities while in college to have your school paid for you.
2. In several states, such as California, you can only use deadly force if theyre about to kill or rape you, and even then you're still liable to get sued or go to prison. If you legislate self defense to the point where it actively puts people at serious risk, yeah, you effectively have.
3. Not everyone does. Hell, I can't afford it and even my works health insurance and life insurance are absolute shit.

LMAO! No, you do not have a "very fair and great country". And I know from been online and see what happens in the USA and how people from USA think and act. I am Greek, and I hate Greece as well. I think that every country is terrible (tho of course there are better and worse) but the USA has to be one of the most terrible "first world" countries. At least based on what I see online. So, I don't blame the "younger generation". They are just real and don't cope. Same happens with every country like I said. If there is something great about Zoomers is that they are more based and truth to reality and that they don't want to make children and marry which will result in the stupid human spices to extinguish like it should be!
It's a question of what is in ones "minds eye". Many were trained in school about how this country was stolen from others by lying cheating and killing. It wasn't pretty getting this land...
in the 1960's we had this problem and in other generations. Some are stuck in misery in their minds and environments. People who come here with nothing are often more successful because of their appreciation for opportunity, hard work. People born here feel oppressed... because they took on oppression.
The "other side" sees a different set of values in the flag, what their fathers fought for, the good, the freedoms, the opportunity.
It's a good country, but has a lot of problems... and we are corrupting.

That's what happens when you give kids participation trophies. They've spent thier whole youth not understanding competitiveness. And one day they're thrust into a world that demands you best and gives you nothing for it. You have to demand it! They then decide the world is rigged for a select few. And rather than try to find a way to lift themselves up to that level. They call "unfair". Because they've never had to fight for anything in thier life.
Protect your kids. But don't protect them so much you stunt them from ever having any success.
That history book in school, full of lies and one-sided stories that conveniently leave out the fucked up things our country did.
If you ever manage to break free of the fake patriotism that was mashed into your brain as a child, you’ll find the information you need and the rage will be yours as well.

I was taught about slavery while in school … wasn’t left out.
I can't really speak for them, but it seems to me like the majority of the younger generations were either fed or have realized how toxic America is to the world and don't want that whereas the older generations are willing to turn a blind eye to such behavior. I mean, the best memes are birthed by truth, and "You have oil? How about some democracy?" exists.

the public schools have pushed critical race theory and other wrong thinking crap for dexades. Only recently did this become widely known. Kids really believe that America is racist and that capitalism is evil. They think that competition is bad and everyone deserves a trophy. You can feel good that you are not alone in your generation, you have plenty of company and in the years to come you will be the one who comes out on top.

America is a deeply flawed country that does not always make us proud. Conservatives seem to think patriotism means ignoring this reality and thumping your chest and waving a flag…or whatever silly display, no matter what. To us, forcing change through protest is what patriotism is about. Patriotism should never be blind.

I didn’t claim any country is perfect. I just said this one does not always make me proud and has some pretty serious fundamental flaws. You perceive those who openly criticize the country as “hating” it, when that is far from the truth. You often don’t affect change without being confrontational. Conservatives only seem to love a certain version of the country rooted in the past that allows discrimination along ethnic and socioeconomic lines and they fight change to correct that. If you think we hate the country for fighting the good fight, then so be it. It doesn’t change reality.
Why are there a lot of Americans from the older generation that don’t know the difference between acknowledging that America isn’t perfect or “fair”, or not having blind patriotism, or not pretending that America is somehow the greatest country in the world and hating America
