It looks like there will be a rail strike. Biden does not seem to have a plan yet.
2.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I am sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to find out if the trains are going on strike. The reason they want to strike is for more sick days off. They only get 3 now I believe. However, if they do go on strike it will cost the U. S. 2 billion dollars each day. They should just spread out the $2 billion and give it to the people wanting to strike. That way they can be paid for days they take off, and it won't leave Anericans stranded. We desperately need the trains or we won't be getting food and other goods we need.
Damn it, every fricken week it's something! We can't just relax and live our lives anymore.
I don't know about you, but my blood pressure is up so high, the nurse said I am at stroke level or to have a heart attack.
Biden is like having. Dad that doesn't keep his family safe, or protect them from harm. Nooo, he causes American's 🇺🇸 harm. I am over it!32 Reply- +1 y
Democrats will blame Trump for it and Rino Republicans will agree with Democrats.

If Biden's got any sense, he'll let the strike happen. Those people are working under totally unreasonable conditions.

@msc545 "If the rail industry can afford to spend $25.5 billion this year to buy back its own stock and hand out huge dividends to its wealthy shareholders, please do not tell me it cannot afford to guarantee paid sick days to its workers and provide them with a decent quality of life."

3.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. This should be interesting. Biden claims that he is for the unions and higher wages. Which were asked by the unions to support him. Providing he remembers what he was told to say.
What has happened in the past was. I am sure that there already is a Presidential Emergency Board (PEB) established to try and reach an agreement. When a strike occurs, there will be an injunction filed against the striking unions and they will be forced back to work. Then there will be binding arbitration and usually the people on this board will side with the company. After all of that. The striking unions will have to bend over and take it! As for existing sick days. There currently isn't any individual sick days.

+1 yI think both Joe and Trump are corporate establishment candidates, so I think both would be doing a poor job. Because both support corporations over workers, and this rail strike is a worker issue. So by doing nothing they can point at the unions and say “See, they’re why the economy is tanking!” When the CEO’s of these companies are raking in profits and squeezing their workers

Trump is the most hated guy on the planet. Why do you think that is? Is it his hair? Orange complexion? Or is it that he won't play ball with the establishment?
- +1 y
Exactly!
I agree with @NamerOfStars ’s comment.
I think there are laws and policies of precedence that can be gone over by the rightfully suited members. If it were unprecedented and/or much more extreme then it’d go onward and upward. Who’d handle it better?
Can I say, they’d both make it a Train Wreck? 😂
pun intended, please and thank you

People are too often judging trump by his appearance of productivity, but that is in no way any precursor or indicator of his intentions or future agendas.
He only shows how much of a stubborn guy he is. If he doesn’t stop at problems and opposing people.. will he stop for those who cannot defend themselves and the innocent?
Will he stop by any movement of human compassion, and any sense of human dignity…
I will just feel free to throw in my two cents and votes now, and say, no I don’t think so.
Everything he has done has always been in his own best interest and benefit.
Otherwise, he would have been doing things for people way before and outside of his presidency.
And later with money additions and surplus
He would have been more recognizable, if he donated to charity or FOUNDED “great” things.
He only seems to care for America from a presidential podium..
If he didn’t invite the January 6th raid, what did he physically or net work, socially to stop/ halt/ discourage it?
I don’t know.. love him, kiss him, be his secretary if you must, to love such a human, but I weigh him as a person, and I don’t see much good with symptoms. - +1 y
Anyways, Biden isn’t a problem when we have laws and policies of precedence to help deal with certain situations, and maintain other thriving components with a sense of civility and nobility.
How can anyone call trump trustworthy to hold such a role- which needs to be earned, when he hasn’t proved anything of productivity before term, after his first term, and so forth?
When his words degrade others. He says nobody does it, and he doesn’t like critics who can’t support anything, themselves, but he criticizes others so cheaply and yet, all he has to show for … for this so called greatness, is all gathered from a known reputation in the previous years, and the only actual evidence from a 4 year, somewhat good run, nothing great and nothing exceptional. He needs another 4 years to make it great because “4 years of the great trump” didn’t make us great already?
Maybe he’ll need 10 years? 35 years?
Does he live a great life? How did he get to his position of work before presidency? What does he do when confronted by someone like Kim jung un?
All I see is a loud mouth and a guy who likes to save face, while slandering other faces both yellow and falling asleep.. and I just don’t believe he could want good for all the people of America. Does he want good for his enemies? I could go on and I really could, if we consider the number of years, but I won’t. I think they both displayed their best sides, and now we need someone new for the term. - +1 y
Trump may not have had the most altruistic motives but everything he did put America First. For the first time in my life I felt like I had representation in Washigton. This is in stark contrast to Biden, s policies. He puts America Last Illegal aliens, Ukraine, NATO, the Taliban, China, and foreign oil countries are all getting rich while Americans are suffering the consequences of these failed policies.

Okay okay, I’ll humor this logic and I do see exactly what you mean. I myself, was almost convinced.
What if trump did resume president for a second term did excel us a good deal, and then hypothetically (humor me), he became a dictator, never left office. Destroyed our democracy, and then after making us powerful and luxurious, took it for himself and kept you and me, and everybody else as the second place.
- +1 y
Why not have hope for someone to be different and better than Biden AND trump? So you don’t have to take second place?
What if with trim it’s just choosing your poison?
Second place by the illegals and other countries or second place by trump? The struggle remains, just more secured and no other country to help the citizens of America?
We have to seriously work together and be smart about who we vote in. 🤷♀️
You do realize trump made some kind of acknowledgement and exchange; handshake with putin?
He’s married to a European lady? Very young as well? He shook hands with Kim jung un after displaying his nuclear peacock feathers?
What if trump is American by citizenship but very much European by mindset and character?
We had good things in America that like a broken engine trump wants to complete exchange for a euro Asian model instead of actually fixing the tweaks..
If americans want to make money and this blood lust of power, go to countries whom they feel even has that power
We are powerful by morals and the minds and utilities we have. The only real problem we face are some bratty things with other us civilians
And resources.
We cultivate that here and we’re good.
We have no reason to buy from anyone, and money shouldn’t be leaving us unless it’s direct aid… not trade.
Currency is of nothing. It’s the resource that drives the market. Not the numbers… it was never the numbers.
Trump will with that very orange hard head of his willingly flush years of history and toiled soul down the drain and hand us over to another country. He’s not American by heart, nor strategy. He’s speaks our language, but his methods are all foreign and wrong.
Choose whom you must. I do say and implore you to seriously consider it-
Consider a new candidate
+1 yOnly congress can stop the strike, the president can't... but I fully expect the Democratic congress to end the strike and go against their voter base.
But Biden doesn't have a plan for anything, he probably doesn't even realize there is a strike looming.

+1 yUm, why would this be going through the President and not the secretary of transportation? Don't confuse the administration with the man. Do you know who Biden's secretary of transportation even IS? Who Trump's was? I don't.
