Should you have a right to a well fed jury?

Should it be required the judge and jury be offered a nice meal... before deciding or ruling?

I've been on a jury, and I don't like how the system works. I think court is not done right.

Good idea, a well fed jury would be less likely to take the easy route just so they could go home. They'd be more likely to sit and debate the merits of the case.

My wife is bright, sweet and compassionate. But when her blood sugar is low she turns into the devil. If she was on a jury in that state of mind, she might roar "Off with their head!"

exactly! I think some people don't realize how sensitive others can be when hungry.

Yes, but they should pay for their own meals. I've never understood our stupid concept of "jury duty." What "duty" are they talking about? Why not "Judge duty" where judges worked for ten bucks per day? It would be their "duty."

How about lawyer duty, how about bailiff duty? Shouldn't they all work for 50 cents per hour, in order to show their loyalty?

you lost me a bit. Jurors are paid a small amount. Are you suggesting professional jurors... which has been an idea at times. Not sure why USA has not done that, but heard the idea suggested. I thnk the problem with that is you find out whom the jurors are in how they vote, as all people have biases", and then the outcomes aren't as fair.

As @exitseven said "I imagine most jurors are hungry and just want the thing to be over so they can have dinner", that was me. Although, I took the job seriously as they are people and should get a full and impartial trial.
