Love to stay home cooking and cleaning for my future husband. Being super submissive
3.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Not necessarily so. First, because the definition of conservative as used by Americans is actually not historically accurate. Secondly because while you may be content to live in a certain way, it does not follow that you intellectually agree with the implications of that behavior. In that connection, while behavior tends to reflect a disposition, it does not necessarily reflect an ideology.
On the first part, what Americans call conservative is not, historically speaking. It is rather classical liberalism mixed in with a strain of Christian Protestant traditionalism. Classical conservatism, sometimes called Tory conservatism, was seen in the views of Alexander Hamilton and Abraham Lincoln. However, in a nation founded by Protestant refugees with anti-monarchical inclinations, it never really took hold. Indeed, it may have taken hold had Lincoln lived, but with his assassination the radical Republicans took over and America divided between the classical and "radical" strands of liberalism.
(Note that the word "radical" as used here does not mean what it means in its' contemporary usage - i. e. fanatical. Rather the word means as used by the ancient Greeks, i. e. radical meaning "to the root of.")
Suffice to say, it is possible - though not assured - that you are more likely, as an merican, a conservative in the American tradition. In other words, a classical liberal with a strain of traditionalist thinking.
However, as per the second and third points, even this does not mean you are a "conservative." You enjoy the domestic life,. It gives you an emotional sense of comfort and satisfaction. That, please note, is an emotional response, not an intellectual one. It does not follow that you have thought through rather the life you enjoy is appropriate as a model for society.
Aristotle said, the first questions of politics are, "How ought we to live? What kind of a people do we wish to be?" You have answered that you enjoy a traditional home life. That, however, is NOT the same thing as suggesting that you advocate it for all. Your personal satisfaction may imply to you that it is the good life, but there is nothing in what you wrote to suggest that it is a preferable model for society.
A philosophy is in the realm of the mind. All you have done is suggest that a certain lifestyle gives you satisfaction. You may indeed be a conservative - perhaps even in the Tory tradition. However, until you begin to ask and answer certain intellectual questions, about the most that can be said is that you see certain facets of traditional home life as being positive. That, as I say, is an emotional and not an intellectual response and therefore not a philosophical belief.

I feel like it is my future role
I respect your perspective and I think it's important for everyone to have their own beliefs and values. But to be honest, I don't think that being pro traditional gender roles automatically makes you a conservative.
Personally, I love cooking and cleaning, but I also love pursuing my career and being financially independent. I don't think those things are mutually exclusive and I don't believe that I have to be submissive in order to be a good partner. My boyfriend and I have a really great balance in our relationship where we both contribute to household duties and we both make decisions together.
Another example is my best friend. She's a stay-at-home mom and she's absolutely killing it. She takes care of her kids, cooks, cleans, and still makes time for herself to do things that she loves. But she's also incredibly strong and opinionated, and she's not afraid to speak her mind.
Lastly, my cousin is in a same-sex relationship and they have a really unique dynamic where they both work full-time and they split household duties equally. They don't adhere to traditional gender roles at all, but they're still a really happy and successful couple.
So, in my opinion, being pro traditional gender roles doesn't make you a conservative, it just means that you value certain traditional aspects of relationships. And that's totally cool, as long as it works for you and your partner. And if anyone gives you shit for it, just tell them to fuck off.

My mom is a mom, but she's also working two jobs. One happens to be at home, while another one happens to be out of the house. So, While she does work, she's also glad to help around the house. But dad does most of that, as well as work, since he knows more of the house stuff than my mom

It is about freedom to choose which means you are entirely free to adopt traditional roles and be submissive or whatever. The difference is that you are not forced to.

Being a boy, dressing like a girl, claiming submissiveness, and grouping housework as determinant in this conclusion then probably Not.
Same as if girl visually trying to portray man and thinks oil change, beer, fut or foot Ball, and/or construction is determinant.
00 ReplyNope, it just means you're probably not a homosexual communist.

u +1 yBy itself? No. It just means that you want to do well to take care of your family. It may lead others to think you are conservative and ask questions about your views and values regarding other things, but that's all.
