Did you ever had a child (Say around the age of 10) come to you and claimed they were transgender?

We just had that happen here a few days ago.

I have know this child since birth and they shocked everyone.

She said that her teacher told she was, because she likes to play football, likes classic cars, has short hair, and go hunting with the family

So when did it become for a tomboy to become transgender

Dam public schools are brainwashing kids

Look I have no issues with adults living their life the way they want to.

But for petes sake. Let the child be a child before the brainwashing begins.

That's my opinion,

They should be taught writting, math, reading , civics, history and that's it.

Not race theory, transgender issues or whatever else.

Why can't kids be taught the basics and leave it at that

(Don't get mad at me, because I said my opinion. I know a friend of mine on gag is going to raise their eyebrow at me and give me the evil eye. But they also know that we are generations apart in age and have different views on the world.)

Because a school teacher said so is not a good reason to think ur trans. But it is possible for a 10yo to know. After all trans doesn't just happen once ur an adult, u always were ur whole life if ur trans. So I don't know I agree definitely its out of line for a teacher to tell them that bc they a tomboy they must be a boy. But also think shouldn't not take them seriously just bc they young.

If there is more to it & they rlly think they a boy, well y not consider what they say? Not like kids are genderless. They being raised as a girl now presumably. Heavily gendered, whether they trans or not. So if they ARE, as unlikely as that is, be good to know at a young age b4 it usually flares up n causes more problems in puberty.

Nope. Thankfully my time spent in school didn't have any of that garbage.

My generation was taught "don't judge a book by it's cover", which is the exact opposite mentality of "stereotype everyone to the point where you think your genitals are wrong just because you think differently".

Teacher's today are idiots.

I'm not really around children as an adult either, I don't have kids of my own, I don't run a shop that kids would frequent, and I'm not a babysitter or teacher or whatever else is high traffic for kids, so I've been living in mostly isolated bliss, away from society's degradation into insanity.

i mean, race theory and transgenderism is a BIG part of history and civics. it pops up in real literature as well, so why would you leave that out of teaching? i think it's important for kids to get a dose of that. it doesn't have to be their whole curriculum, but at least let kids know that it's OK to feel like you're something different than what you were born as.

No, because that teaches that stereotypes are ok.

They should be taught that, just because they think differently, it doesn't mean that they aren't the gender they were born as, and people should be acknowledging the validity of mental individuality instead of the falsehood of male/female mentality.

"it's okay if you're a boy/girl and you want to be a girl/boy. it's natural."

"if you dress this way and act this way, you MUST be a boy/girl."

No, there isn't a difference, and thats not natural, the former is the result of them thinking the latter.

It doesn't belong in schools at all for any age, instead they should teach to not stereotype, and to not think you're in the wrong body just because of what you want in life.

Actually, science backs up that gender = biological sex, and that people are individuals, and that there is no such thing as male or female ways to think, so logically you cannot "be in the wrong body".

As someone who spent his entire life researching wildlife biology, wildlife behavior, and evolutionary phylogenetics. Every single piece of scientific literature I own uses gender as ONLY meaning biological sex, even human medical reference books.

This is not 100 years ago:

When I was your age, we didn't change or add new definitions to words just because the low scoring end of the class was too lazy to read a dictionary, we just called them illiterate or stupid and moved on.

All scientific literature uses male and female gender symbols to denote specifically what sex organs a lifeform had. And documentaries prove that individuality is present both in humans, and nearly all (if not entirely all) forms of life.

Also human cultures prove that "masculine" and "feminine" behaviors, fashions, interests, etc, are purely based on individuals, and cultural upbringing, not what sex they are.

Lastly, the idea that a person is in the wrong body is circular logic.

If a woman likes the stuff her guy friends like, it must be acknowledged that she, still being a woman, likes those things. Therefor, they are not exclusively guy things, because obviously women like them too, so the idea that she should have been born a guy based on what she likes, is just stupid.

I have seen it many times, but have not had a child tell me personally. I have had parents tell me that their child changed gender. It's mind boggling that every child is on some adult's radar to determine their gender. I agree that schools should remain academic institutions and lay off the politics and personal feelings.

No that’s never happened, they are just a tomboy and usually grow up as a beautiful woman that wants to be married, not sure why a teacher would say that even if it was true they shouldn’t be involved with that and just teach like they are supposed to not say something that they know nothing about, it’s getting bad I noticed
