Look at how children behave naturally. They don't see colour or creed, only potential playmates. They trust implicitly.
As they get older, they learn cynicism and distrust. First of individuals who have actually harmed them, then towards people not "like" them. Usually that is taught by the parents.
My son is basically a clone of me. He's almost 5 now and is fair skinned with reddish hair and blue eyes. Other than that - my hair is dark blonde and I have green eyes - we look like carbon copies. His mum is African. Living in South Africa and having the benefit of both SA culture and British culture he's already becoming intolerant of bullshit. And I'm proud of him for it
He holds a door for a lady. Walks on the traffic side of his mum but footpath side of me on the same road. But as much as he's polite and gentle he's growing into a boy that mustn't be crossed. He has strength and a temper and he's learning to control both
I'm already incredibly proud of the man he's starting to grow into.
It can be both learned and taught.
I do believe the media and politicians are hyping the current narrative/ situation though. Don’t get me wrong, there is racism…. unfortunately I don’t believe it will ever be totally eradicated (we have been in existence for thousands of years and it has consistently occurred throughout human history).
With that said though, racism is at an all time low….. it really is. And contrary to the continual, in your face hype by the media / politicians, the US is currently one of the least racist countries on the face of the earth.
Don’t believe me, travel to other countries (and not just the normal/mundane/nice places)…. listen and watch. Next, do some real research. Compare the number over the decades starting in the 1950s. Significant change (for the better) has occurred from the late 60s through today.
Just a reminder…. how do you control the masses…. divide and conquer. Our politicians, elitists and media do it daily……and it’s working.
She's teaching her kids to hate, and I hate her for doing it. No one taught me to hate her. She brought it on herself.
Wait, what?
I wonder if she won any stupid prizes?
I don't understand them half the time. Almost anything you say on here can be offensive to someone. Yet I've tagged something as offensive and it wasn't removed so maybe they are playing favorites? They should be unbiased though.

People who blame only the parents or the teachers are simple-minded. Good parenting and good teaching matters of course, but plenty of kids rebel against the teachings of their elders. People have and make up their own minds, even children.
How often did your parents tell you something, only for you to roll your eyes at them because you thought you knew better?
There are also other influences, which, unless parents are monitoring their children 24/7 which is impossible, they’ll be influenced by. Kids are influenced by their friends. They’re influenced by TV, movies, the internet. They’re influenced by their experiences and the way they perceive them.
Yet parents get their kids phones and computers so the can get on Tik Tok and the internet where they can learn all the hate they can get.
I’m saying this because my parents were very strict. I didn’t have a phone or access to the internet. I was still influenced by friends and the media. But like I said I also had/have my own mind.
You ask whether people are taught to hate, as if hate is automatically a bad thing. It depends on what they hate. Hating certain things is completely normal.
Such as? In a perfect world there would not be hate, only love.
I guess it’s more learned over time to be honest , mainly based off of someone’s experiences in life , on what they witnessed or what they had happen to them , Hate is a horrible word , to actually hate someone or something , it must of impacted their life big time , I can’t honestly say I hate someone or something , I might despise someone or don’t trust someone , but to actually hate someone is a little too extreme , if someone tells me they hate someone , instead of agreeing with them, I would just say , I don’t hate them but I can agree they are a piece of shit lol
Started by observing the parents, if you parents always tell you "don't play with that kid", "don't get too close to this group of people", ... you learn that these people should be avoided.
And when you later in life read the news, there is confirmation bias kicking in, whenever you read something like "the thies was this or that male", or "the attacker was..." you just think, "i knew it".
And espacially with social media and the algorithms, but also before, certain media will just confirm your hatred and believes. Humans are rarely actively seeking other sources of information, espavially when they contradict their believes.
Hate is learned.
Hate comes from many places.
You of course have your normal heat such as hitting your noisy neighbor, or that one prick in your workplace you keep stealing your lunch, and then you have hate by association.
Hate by association is where you hate someone but then you hate someone else because they remind you of that person that you originally hated.
For heat by association, I’m going to use blondes as my example.
I have an incredibly bad relationship with my sister. It’s so bad she accused me of attempted murder. Anyways, I hate her legitimately. Not with my relationship with my sister in mind. I’m not a fan of blondes. It’s just every time I see blonde hair. It angers me because it reminds me of my sister who I am just not a fan of at all.
Hate is a normal human emotion.
Now, the hating of groups and of peoples just because they are who they are is usually taught and "instilled" into them by others.
But, hate, in and of itself, is a normal thing.
I hate wasps.
I hate criminals. When I hear the news stories about home invaders raping and killing people, when I see videos of bullies beating up a defenseless child on a bus, when I read about people going to schools and murdering children... I am filled with hate. I could kill such a person.
There are things in this world we should hate.
It is taught by parents, racists communities, racist political groups, racist media groups.
Notwithstanding any wars and just sticking to the present day, do you want to do you want to know the sickest part?
As it relates to major American news media outlets...
It isn't even about race at all. It's really about green. Lots and lots of green.
The equity/equality minded CNN and the notoriously anti-black, anti-Mexican Fox News are owned by the same man!
It can be either one to be honest, but speaking from personal experience, the older I got and the more experience and insight I gained, the more I realized that all the racist things my parents taught me when I was a kid were completely justified. People always stigmatize the racist, but never put any responsibility on the racee. Like these people just play victim and think we're racist for no reason.
Thank you
Both. Mostly it's taught.
Me? I was never taught to hate anyone or anything. But life experiences and witnessing certain events of historical signifigance have absolutely influenced my sentiment towards groups and individuals.
Bottom line, I'm not going to hate you until you give me a reason to.
my dad did everything he could to be white. he wasn't michael jackson white, but he wanted whiteness badly. so that hatred of self and other lesser minorities was taught through that. he's a sad uncle tom though. he's still not educated enough to know he's an idiot
That's sad.
It's something natural that comes to human beings particularly as they are growing up since they suffer from the sin virus from within.
Humans suffer from greed, pride, envy, jealousy and those bad traits lead to bitterness and hate.
Very true. You can see it in the news every day.
You sound old. 😂
I feel old. Must be all that staying up late. :(
Change your mindset and don't speak such language lest you start seeing premature aging physically still at your young age.
Hatred is taught. People are influenced and shaped by the people they associate with and who share or have similar ideals or beliefs. Just like no one is born evil. People become who they are.
I think it is a fair mix of both.
Our worldviews are often shaped by our personal experiences, and those who are part of them.
Sounds very plausible.
Hate is learned. Hatred from the father of all hatred is executed through demons who embody a person's soul like a hitchhiker on your shoulder yaking in your ear using your mouth to exonerate evil tones expressed through hatred. Demons can't express themselfs through love. The only way a demon can hitchhike your soul is ; through invitation.. when you think or even express vile thoughts towards someone else , you automatically call on that evil spirit to respond.
Hmmmm, interesting theory.
God's love is greater than Satan's hate.
Has the entire world gone insane Jesus well for sure those children in that picture aren't learning it and not old enough to know what their signs mean let alone why they're carrying them it's possible it's taught but I think for the most part, it's learned through life's experiences
I do think it is learned over time, but parents has quite a big role in terms of influencing their kids.
It is learned behavior. Kids ca nbe exposed ot it by their environment. by their parents or by what they learn in school.
Kids learn it from their parents and people they typically respect.
Young children don't have the concept of hate that adults do. You provided a good example of how hate is taught.
People usually have to earn my distrust and disrespect.
So until then you trust everyone? Even the Government?
It's learned over time. Children are sponges. They see and hear EVERYTHING, then regurgitate it back!
Its simple. Good experiances breed good feelings. Bad experiances breed bad feelings. It can be taught and it can come naturally.
It's both, CNN is a good example of taught hatred mindless people follow. It's hatred backed by fictional stories that never took place.
Indoctrinating brainwashing children with agendas is child abuse there is no question about it.
Both. You can be taught or have enough experiences with people to develop it.
from my experience the only reason i can think of is jealousy
It's taught and learned through experiences
Yeah that’s disgusting.
The police hate everyone who’s not blue.
So they only love people who are depressed?
if thats how you want to read the comment sure.
Hate has always been taught
Most often anyways.
One bad experience can really change someone
I think its both.
