It's that if you allow one religion into a school, you have to allow all religions into that school. That's the first amendment for you!

Of course, the right are using people's ignorance to gin up fear and loathing, and I worry that the reasonable protest might backfire.

They do not understand the point at all. They're not smart enough. You know what? I say ban school and let parents be fully responsible for their own kids... I mean their safety is paramount isn't it. Lol. Half these parents couldn't pass a basic quiz on Christianity and yet they get all frazzled. Ban schools and let's see how well parents do on their own. They thought a few years of teacher assisted virtual class was bad... I say take the school tax back and use it on your kid for 18 years. Prepare them for the world... The right wing should be pro this since they're pro life.

We have a problem with critical thinking in the US. Just leave school to academics... You can pay for kids to go to religion school. Public school isn't just Christian school. Such fools

Actually we need to teach more academics I'm school and teach critical thinking. Critical thinking won't teach away religion but it will help people to understand if this then that better. For ex if we have freedom of religion then that means you have to acknowledge other beliefs.

If you try to force your religion on others then that means you will get pushback.

If someone lives differently than you do then that doesn't mean you are being forced by them to live like them.

If you just mind your own business then that would be the end of half the arguments in the world.

I can already smell how the right tries to ban them, and gets christianity banned in schools in the process. I mean they tried with lgbtq books and nearly got the bible banned. In my opinion, it's inappropriate to advocate for devil worship in educational institutions. Regardless of one's religious beliefs, endorsing immoral actions should be viewed unfavorably.

Well, there's the point of view that the devil is only doing what God ordered him to (punishing evil people), but also the point of view that neither of them actually exist.

Just keep all that stuff out of schools.

Taking an atheist's standpoint, when comparing the values promoted by Satanism to those of Christianity or Islam, wouldn't you logically conclude that the latter two promote more beneficial values for society?

I think the Temple of Satan (or whatever they call themselves) actually are atheists making a point about religion in schools. I'm not going to look it up right now, but doesn't Satan tell people to use their free will and God tell them to worship him or go to hell?
