Why do pro lifers think that women who consider having an abortion are enjoying terminating the fetus?

I know so called pro lifers love to claim they are trying to persuade women to not abort a child but really they have turned to slut shaming which defeats the purpose of trying to purusade anyone to your side. I don't see the point why people get into slut shaming women who even consider abortion. They seem to think that women who have an abortion are juat having sex with multiple men and even if they have sex why does it bother them that women have unprotected sex and get an abortion and who are they to want the woman get punished with a taking care of a child she can't afford because the so called father doesn't want to pay child support.

It is a form of control. I fail to see how does a woman aborting her own unplanned baby affects other people’s life. I can understand if it comes from her family or spouse, because obviously it impacts them a little especially if the man wants to keep the baby. The thing here is I know countless strangers who go and and hating women who gone through abortion. At the same time, in some society, we get slut shamed if we give birth out of wedlock. We can’t really win either way.

these pro lifers are just plain idiots. because reality is... if the woman doesn't have the money, doesn't have support raising the baby... the kid will just end up suffering a painful childhood then growing up to becoming criminals or useless trash. When you force someone (who does not want to be a mother) to become a mother, the kid always ends up being abused.

Perhaps more than any other issue (even gun control), abortion is such an emotional topic that logical arguments and reason are often overlooked on both sides of the debate. I have a different stance than my family. They always want to discuss it. I'm just not playing that game. It's not going to end any different than it did the other 100 times you tried. Come up with a "new" reason, which is really just the same old reasons repackaged, I still don't care, I'm still not having that discussion.

I don't know if most think that. That's a misconception of the right in my opinion.

If I use obesity as an example, of course there are some right-wing people who go around telling obese people, "Lose some weight, lard ass!" But they're relatively few in number.

Most of them are probably even people who struggled with weight at one point in their lives who, after slimming down, might be a little bit harsh saying obesity is unhealthy and that most obese people are lazy, but they have fist-hand experience.

Actually real empathy usually makes people harsher on people who share the same experience, not softer. I found this man on YT who got out of homelessness and his channel is called Warrior or something like that, and actually I've never heard anyone so harsh towards homeless people as him. He's like, "Get off your lazy ass and get a job!"

They just want to control women’s bodies under the guise of “morality”. It’s about control and not the babies themselves. These same pro-lifers generally oppose free birth control or additional funding for social programs once the child is born. They don’t care what conditions the child is born into or what assistance the mother might need to care for a child she is forced to have. They only care about having control and casting judgement. It never occurs to them that forcing women to have children they cannot afford or do not want is not only cruel for the child but also requires additional investment from society. That is if any any of this was really about the children, which it is not.

Not in our country in Japan. Here abortion is illegal except in exceptional circumstances which endangers woman's health or economic status. How many people if presented the choice would rather marry Japanese woman or white middle-class feminist who goes around saying, "My body, my choice"?

Do you have any reason that we Japanese should change its ways? by the way, we have a tradition of women working alongside of men far longer than Western way. For example, my mother was architect, grandmother Kimono seamstress, my wife's mother (mother-in-law) piano and violin teacher, grandmother-in-law a famous ballet dancer, etc. And my wife is well-established writer here in Japan.

We even have female soldiers and famous generals in our history unlike the West; we call onna-musha.

I actually think we're more feminist than you guys in the most important ways like we don't overlook great female soldier or scientist or CEO. It isn't "diversity hire" in our case; it is "merit hire". The only difference is that we're very pro-marriage and pro-family; to my understanding Western feminists view marriage as a patriarchal institution, and I think that's very detrimental to American society, especially to black people who have suffered the most under this mindset.
