I wanted to just ask the girls, because I don't want them to get scared off by a bunch of crazy angry men.
I thought the movie did a great job of showing what the world was like for women by doing a sort of roll reversal. The only thing is, Barbie was still loved and valued by the Kens even when she wasn't the professional/lawmaker. (They tried to make the average man's life look like a beer commercial, which isn't how it is for any of us).
On the flip side, the Kens had absolutely zero value to the Barbies. He's basically just taking up space.
I feel like men a designed by nature to not only love and desire women, but also take care of them. I've observed in life that a man's only value to women is how much money he makes. They don't care about anything else he has to offer.
I still think feminism is good, but it's just exhausting when it depicts men as evil overlords, when most if us don't have it that great. Who wants to spend %75 percent of their life doing a menial task in an office to try and make ends meet? I don't know why some women act like we're gatekeeping this "amazing" experience.
