Democrats will have to start again demonizing anther republican. That would make it easier to actually elect them. But no any republican that runs for office will be portrayed as "the worse 'threat to democracy' extremist in history."

Anyone who has lived thou more than a few elections sees the pastern. They just get more and more hyperbolic as the stakes get ever higher. I don't think Trump can win a 2nd time, too much has been invested in distorting him, and the elections are already too rigged in key states regardless.

Ron would have a better chance for that reason alone, however realistically the age of democracy is coming to an end. The majorities required to overcome the per-election day ballot harvesting is ever increasingly unachievable.

The same is likewise true of the democratic party they don't really run their party either for the same reasons. If you want to win an election you have to secure control of the democratic political machine stuffing those ballot boxes first.
