A big part of the answer is that Israel is a very successful and prosperous nation in the heart of the Muslim world. Conversely most Islamic countries are dysfunctional and less advanced.

When Israel acquired the land it owns and was granted statehood by the League of Nations, the land was a barren desert that no one wanted. It was a nomadic piece of land that was Israel bought from Palestinian land owners, Egypt and others almost uninhabitable.

Israel then turned into a beautiful oasis in the dessert after years of investment and a strategic plan to make it a world class tourist attraction and place to live. Then, suddenly all the people who sold it wanted it back and they attacked Israel to steal it. But so far, after 75 years of attacks, they have failed in their attempt to steal Israel's land AND to complete a genocide against the Jews. They are LIVID that they are such a failure while the tiny population of Israel is such a world class success.

So this point is SPOT ON.

So most of them left thinking it would only be temporary. Then in 1948 the League of Nations (the forerunner of the United Nations) granted Israel LEGAL nation status AND ISRAEL WAS IMMEDIATELY ATTACKED BY ITS MUSLIM NEIGHBORS. They were SHOKED when the tiny new nation of Israel DEFEATED THEM ALL AND PUSHED THEM BACK. The Palestinians left VOLUNTARILY. The tale you are implying is complete BULLSHIT. Read the real history. If you learn the history you learn that Palestinians hate Jews. That is why they left the area previously called Palestine (it was never a country, just an area in the desert). They left because when Jews bought the land and the international community legally pronounced them a sovereign country, they hated Jews so much that they didn't want to live with them even though the Jews ENCOURAGED them to stay and be part of the country. The rest of the Arab Muslims told the Palestinians to leave so that they could attack Israel and wipe out the Jews... they said the Palestinians could come back and the Jews would be gone. They thought they only were leaving temporarily. And in 1948 the moment Israel became a legal country all of Israel's surrounding Arab countries attacked them. But they were shocked when the Israelis outnumbered 100 to 1 KICKED THEIR ASSES and they retreated.

Then the Palestinians demanded the right to come back and the Israelis naturally told them to get f'cked.

PS now none of those Arab countries have been willing to take in the Palestinians. They want them to be stuck in Israel's border to attack them.

That's exactly what happened to the Palestinians. The Palestinians sold their land to the Israelis, and even though the Israelis encouraged and welcomed them to stay in Israel, they VOLUNTARILY left.

Why? Two reasons:

1. They HATED Jews and didn't want to live with them and;

2. The surrounding Arab Muslim countries told the Palestinians not to worry. They told them to leave Israel and they would kill all the Jews so they could come back to live there.

So the Palestinians LEFT VOLUNTARILY thinking it would only be temporary and all the Jews would be slaughtered.

Then the League of Nations (the forerunner of the United Nations) declared Israel a sovereign country in 1948. When they did that the Israelis were IMMEDIATELY attacked by the entire Arab world surrounding them to wipe them off the map.

But... SURPRISE! It didn't go so well for the Arabs and the newly formed nation of Israel kicked their asses.
