It’s a double edged sword, I’d say people didn’t ask questions as much as now, which is good. That’s the sign of an educated society. But flip side is we don’t believe the consensus of experts.

A doctor I know from the Britain who moved to the us says that some of the medication here is overprescribed and for things that it shouldn't be prescribed for compared to the UK.
When the experts and consensus are being funded by big business its right to be sceptical.
doctors love pushing their free samples of new medicine given to them by big pharma companies
if we've been educated or informed in one way or another about something medical and we question the doctor, the doctor shouldn't immediately roll their eyes and say get off webmd or wikipedia. being a doctor isn't a gift from birth. it's a study. and like the doctors people can read too

This is where people expect forensic science to be exact and without it doubt all the evidence, right? There's a reason the standard is "reasonable" doubt, is it reasonable to expect that the expert witnesses are all wrong? It's always possible, but unlikely.
Which experts? The one's bought and sold by Big Pharma, Big Tech, and Defense contractors? Or maybe the ones that were political appointees? Maybe you mean the experts who own company stock?
Surely you don't mean any of the experts that were diversity hires. Because we know that never happens. Ever. You know--under-qualified people being put in positions of authority for demographic quotas. Surely nothing like that ever happens.
This is a rather famous logical fallacy of appealing to authority.
You can have a PhD next to your name but if you say 2 + 2 = 5 you are still wrong.
