i should have specified: energy independence means U. S. GETS ITS OWN FUELS oil and coal instead of importing.
second amendment is threatened every time we hear about a mass shooter. but we do not hear about the shootings in the "places with strict gun laws" we can barely find those statistics due to some agenda.

second amendment isn't even really a discussion as the second amendments can not be ratified. energy independence on the other hand is incredibly important for the future of humanity. as a society many advancements are stuck due to our lack of achievable energy. space travel, faster transportation, (partially at least) cryogenics, medical care, military advancements etc.
