1) Jefferson - I agree with him on this - to a point, not absolutely.
2) Madison - I agree mostly, with the caveat that all people are flawed
3) Plato - who believed the masses were incapable of governing themselves, which is true if the masses are kept stupid like they are in very many countries, like the US
4) Also James Madison - I agree again with the idea being that men in power should only be trusted to the extent that they exercise said power judiciously, honestly, wisely and fairly to the very best of their ability.
