What is Evil? A philosophical discussion?

Evil in it's general sense is the absence of good. It does not have being like you and I. It's existence within us, humanity, is like a terminal cancer that we all have to live with in various degrees. Those with the "most terminal" of cases are made obvious in their psychophysical pathology. As they have no discernable reasoning for committing the greatest atrocities against their fellow man nor do they have any measure of remorse.. Alfred from Batman said it best "some men [and women] just want to watch the world burn."

Psychology has done a marvelous job in building a road map for other professions to help catch these evildoers. But Psychology can never fully explain the palpable evil within these individuals. Which even in the absence of their illicit treatment of man and beast, this evil that I speak of transcends their existence. They dwell on evil actions just as most people consume TickTock videos.

Human Laws cannot regulate or prevent evil. Human laws can only categorize and describe in a universal-language the aftermath and the degree of wrong vs. Rightness of individual actions.

The murder of baby Hitler is still an evil. In like manner the saving of your significant other through the theft of the only medicine that can save them, is still an evil act. Human reasoning can easily justify such actions. But it cannot make those actions "not-evil". In a matter of speaking evil is evil.

Wherefore I believe that evil actions and evil thoughts are on the same level as both are equally evil.
