Why do people expect other people to be civilized in a dog eat dog society?

Are people blind? Are people dumb? Or do they lowkey love to see other people suffer because they were hurt too? If not then why do people act so surprised when a person acts like an animal or a dog in this dog eat dog word? Why are they so surprised when anything bad happens in the world?

For example:

1. A mentally ill person doing a school shooting at a preschool.

2. A massive trail derailment that spills a bunch of toxic chemicals in a town because the corporation did not do any maintenance to increase their profits?

3. A pandemic that kills millions of people worldwide that could have been prevented.

4. Ukraine/Palestine war or just wars in general.

5. Bad Health Care and Inflation

6. Homelessness & Starvation

7. Global Warming/Climate Change

I mean what the Hell did you expect to happen?

We created this dog eat dog world and society and decided that the most important thing in the universe is money and human beings have not earned the right live and whatever happens to them they deserve it! Are we so sadistic to look at another human being that is suffering and say they deserve it? What the hell happened to all of us under this dog eat dog society/belief system we made? Can we even look at ourselves in the mirror anymore? What happened to us?

Sure whatever you say bud whatever helps you sleep at night. But if you take a moment and think about it you are the one who is not questioning the status quo and actually defending it instead of taking my critique seriously. If you pay attention you will realize you are projecting your own fears while at the same time in denial about the reality that is around you like a scared little child.
