On average, are Russian men more physically violent than men from other countries?

Domestic violence against women is extremely high in Russia as compared to other countries. Women in Russia are expected to be silent, docile and demure all the time. Russia has a horrible gender equality ranking of 81 out of 156 countries. There are very few women in Russian parliament (16%). I have heard that how controlling and rude are Russian men towards their women, I don't know how much it is true. Anyways, I think the answer to this question is yes Russian men are ofte more violent than men from other countries, and largely because of the widespread acceptance of drunkenness, disrespect of women and because such acts usually go unpunished. Often they're not even considered illegal.

I think it is the acceptance of it that makes it a problem there. Same with the other places where it is a problem. The cultures and laws reflect a general attitude of the people towards it, but I don't think it's the people themselves and by themselves. In the nature vs. nurture argument, I'd side with nurture here. The behavior is nurtured and thus becomes prevalent. Just like the majority of criminals here in the United States... if I sort through their music collection, it's all music about robbing, stealing, killing, slinging drugs, treating women like shit... and so on... what do you expect right? If it's not nurtured themselves by prescribing to that culture, you'll usually find abusive and neglectful households they grew up in where it was nurtured.

I think general sub-cultures (if not the general culture) and the environment shape these things more than them in a biological disposition to be that way. I feel this way even with our 13% of the population that does 90% of the crimes all by themselves. I won't say what that group is because we all know who they are... even if we won't admit it out loud.

People are known to abuse any power given when they are not restricted or policed. I would not assume Russian men are more physically violent than men from all countries, but they certainly are more violent than men from countries where women are protected. Domestic violence is legal in Russia as long as he does not kill his wife. Even if she almost dies it's pretty much like a misdemeanor crime in the U. S. vs the felony it should be treated as.

I’ve heard a lot of Russian women say they don’t go for Russian men because of this. I think it’s just because of the culture and how there’s just little to no respect for the women there which is sad. I’ve even heard some Russian men online openly say the mostly hateful/degrading shit against their own women

In America, a really violent fight will end with someone getting stomped out, usually. Purely my straw pole here , and there are many Russians , I don't see the men being more violent , and most of the women are extremely strong willed so I would not like their chances , I will say this too again speaking generally , they are the best dam looking people on the planet , not many bad ones , great physical , all the women I see are into fitness.

Again , observation only , they rarely mix outside their own circle , I've only had one Russian girlfriend and that was years ago , and unusual she was travelling alone , again incredible shape , but that whole Russian attitude thing.

With children , they seem to " egg them on " , encouragement into " over excitement " particularly the men , that really pisses me off , they don't give a fck about disturbing of others. There always appears to be a level of arrogance , and we have a Ukrainian couple here too , I know they feel that way.

The USA got rich by our access to natural resources, innovation and the hard work sacrifices of older generations. The left says “oh the USA got rich off of exploitation” like we are somehow unique to that phenomenon (not saying we aren’t without sin). Bigger countries from all different ethnicities and cultures have been doing this for all of human history. That’s actually exactly why Russia invaded the Ukraine and why China took over Singapore (and is looking to invade Taiwan).

It’s not a “white thing” or some bullshit. What’s made the USA unique is we are innovative and we give the individual the freedom to pursue their own happiness.

But not everybody has the drive, intelligence and willpower to take advantage of the opportunities afforded to them. When that happens you either 1) own up to your own shortcomings or 2) blame someone else for your problems. If you do #1 you are more likely to make better future decisions and improve your life.. But too many stupid, weak minded and brainwashed people rather do #2.
