It also says

You obviously can’t believe everything you read online but does what this website state seems legit to you?

I don't need to see the website to know that what you're stating is from valid statistics that've been compiled since the 20th century. There are competent websites that have longtime national statistics and are reliable. You can trust many, such as the CDC and Mayo Clinic.

Men are less likely to see counselors or to tell their troubles to friends who will suggest that they get help. Men don't want to be seen as "weak." Weak men use medications.

Men also use over the counter "treatments" such as drugs and alcohol, which exacerbate depression and lead to suicidal ideation. Men also have more access to guns than to tranquilizers. When you use bullets, your death rate from a suicidal attempt is closer to 100%.

I have a son, and I've always told him if he EVER feels desperate or extremely depressed that he contact me and cry to me. I brought him into this world and he'd better not kill himself. I'm the only one who should beat him to death over being STUPID.

Life is too precious, but when men are clinically depressed, they often use dire methods of ending their existential pain OF THE MOMENT, not realizing that their pain is OF THE MOMENT and can be alleviated with work and patience.

Guys want quick results and with depression or drug addiction, there is no immediacy. It is a process and takes time and patience. Men aren't known for this and they need friends who will guide them through this.

I think younger men are starting to realize this and get help. And I know my son will lean on me if he needs to. It all takes time and training.

Physical strength has pretty much bugger all to do with it.

men will be the ones most likely to take the most effective and ‘violent’ approach.

for example, death by gunshot, death by hanging, death by fall from height, death by cop, death by high speed vehicle

the above have very little chance of survival.

women will often take the cut wrists, use a drug over dose of prescription pills,

those if found are usually survivable

physical strength does not really come into it

Women often PRETEND to try suicide for attention. They often make sure someone knows about it ahead of time, or that someone is going to encounter them soon after so they will not actually die. They often use pills or do light cuts on themselves that they already know won't work. Men often use a gun, jump off a structure, etc. That is also where the false manipulated statistic comes from of people owning guns dying more often is because most gun owner deaths are from suicide and it is usually men.

Men actually have much more stress in life than most women and that leads them to commit suicide. The combination of society in general not caring about men, and women and the courts frequently abusing innocent men for generations greatly contributes to it too.

Men succeed because when men commit to do something they do it. Women don't commit to much of anything which is why they attempt and fail. They use less lethal measures, pills, drugs, poison. Men use guns, hanging, jumping off buildings. Things that actually are a near 100% chance to result in death.

No. Being physically strong (other than being in good physical health) has nothing to do with your mental well being. If men are more likely to succeed in suicide it's most likely because they feel there is less chance they'll be taken seriously in a cry for help. As it is considered weak and socially unacceptable for a man to do so, unfortunately.

Quite LITERALLY a pink G@Ger asked just last night "do men even have emotions". Well as long as society continue to think this way, as long as women like this one continue to believe this men with current unhealthy mental health will continue to feel more isolated and continue to struggle.

I think it probably has something to do with the fact that men are told they’re disposable afterthoughts and that there is nothing keeping them here. Meanwhile women are always told how needed they are and despite social tendencies that gives women more hope than men so women don’t try as hard to off themselves.

It has nothing to do with physical strength considering the means by which most suicide victims die requires no physcal strength.

There are numerous reasons why men die by suicide at 4 times the rate of women, the most important being that most "suicide attempts" by women are really just calls for help, not actual suicidal intentions. Sympathy is a powerful thing, and something females naturally get a lot more of than males in this world.

No incorrect, men have a higher suicide rate because they had a real battle inside each and everyone of them that made sure they would commit suicide if someone wanted to really commit suicide they'll jump off a building guaranteed death no strength required as for the women that commit suicide but It just happens to be men that commit suicide more
