11 moI feel it shows transparency and makes them more relatable. Most people swear. When we're told not to swear because it's rude and unprofessional, or not classy, I feel it takes away a level of freedom and honesty that makes interactions more fake. I don't mean that you should swear 24/7. But an F bomb here and there isn't killing anyone.

Society has chosen some words we shouldn't use generally because they are considered in bad taste. I would have a low opinion of anyone, especially politicians, if they had such a limited vocabulary, that they thought they needed to use these offensive words, to convey their views.

u 11 moIt's not appropriate. I know people don't expect much from politicians these days, but there still is a certain level of behavior and speech we should expect. Be blunt and spirited, but there are some things you shouldn't do. It doesn't matter if you're Donald Trump or Jasmine Crockett.

11 moI’m honestly fully against censorship in all forms, including banning certain words from being on the air. We say it every day, they all have their place, it’s just words. People get bent out of shape because of “The children!!!” They’re going to grow up, they’re going to hear all of this. I understand the need to preserve innocence but this stuff just encourages puritanical ideals, which are objectively toxic.

11 mogenerally out of place, but I was ok with Trump doing it or at least tolerated it. If Biden did that in the same intensity, id be ok with it. It fit the emotion of the moment. Frankly, I don't know how they puts up with the press, I'd probably have the guards beat them... and I'm a peaceful person. they really annoy me with their behavior. The press often seems to try to find a way to get a headline.

11 moIs amusing indeed. But is not good for any potential under 18's watching and hearing that part, all these "free speech debates" used to happen after 9-10pm, but now they Censored everything to be able to "brainwash people" from 6am-11pm...🤷♂️🤦♂️😅
10 Reply1.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. @thegreenyogi I heard Pres. Trump on TV talking about the Israeli/Iran conflict and he said 'They don't know what the fuck they are doing" (after he tried to arrange a cease fire)
I am sure he is frustrated with the whole fucking mess over there, and with Putin/and Ukraine, so I guess I will l give him a Pass, based on the hell he is dealing with.

Proof all of American politics needs to step back and grow up.
11 moNo actually , I don't, for one , I can remember getting spanked in the 4th grade for saying it o the restroom and getting ratted out. I got to where it was like every other word , especially if I was mad.. I've worked hard to eliminate it from my speech, unsuccessfully , id like to think that the candidates wishing to become our statesmen , could express themselves more eloquently the us lesser beings.
10 ReplyDepends on the context. I think swearing in such a formal setting is probably not a good idea though… the people who find it funny won’t take you seriously and the people who don’t find it funny like you less!
10 ReplyGenerally not a fan. I'm usually fine with cussing, but loosely speaking, but more power you have, the better you should behave, especially in public. I think it's partly contextual though.
20 Reply6.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I'm generally tolerant but from professional politicians speaking in public it is unprofessional. Some audience members will have an emotional reaction, distracting them from the intended message.

11 moSometimes it’s better to just say it instead of punching someone. I try not to use that word but it’s hard if you’ve ever lived in Mumbai where it is their favourite word.

11 moI don't care for it. It's undisciplined & unstatesman like. Do what you want behind the scenes but have some public decorum befitting your position.

11 moIt is just a word who cares but probably not too good if kids hear it but they hear it anyway one place or another

Everyone says it's not good for kids to hear like they aren't going to curse eventually lol. Probably 95% of people fucking curse.
