How do you feel about Japan nominating its first ever female prime minister?

Japan's Liberal Democratic Party (that has ruled Japan since World War II, with short breaks between 1993-94 and 2009-12) has elected their new leader, Sanae Takaichi. She defeated moderate minister of agriculture Shinjirō Koizumi, in a runoff 54%-46%. Due to LDP dominance in Japan's politics, she is likely to be sworn in as the new prime minister of Japan soon.

Takaichi is considered a conservative and a member of the party's right wing. She opposes gay marriage, opposes changes to the Japan's surname law (that requires husband and wife to have the same surname after marriage), supports revision of article 9 of the Japanese constitution (which prohibits Japan from having an army or starting wars) and is neoliberal on economy. She cites Margaret Thatcher as her role model and thus has often been called "Iron Lady" by the japanese press.
