If Hitler didn't consider them "white," I wonder what criteria he was using.
Maybe Germans can be distinguished by their square jaws, while Russians tend to have rounder faces. Which group do Poles generally resemble more?

Poles are part of a larger ethnic group called Slavs. Germans are not; they are Germanic.
About half of the nations of Cental and Eastern Europe are Slavic.
In fact, one giveaway (although that doesn't apply to Poland and some others) is that the flag of many Slavic nations is red, white, and blue. (Look-up "pan-Slavic colors").

Countries (and their large-scale ethnicities) in Eastern Europe which are not Slavic include:
From Hitler's perspective, he was interested in unifying the Germanic peoples, so that would be Germany, Austria, parts of Czechia, and parts of Poland. He would not generally consider Poles as Germanic.
As for me being able to distinguish, that depends. There is definitely a "Slavic look" often seen in some models of the past. You don't see that in Germans, but you may with Poles or other Slavs.
For instance, Paulina Porizkova (Czech), Melania Trump (Slovene), Joanna Pacuła (Pole). From Google AI:
[W]omen who look Slavic often share specific genetic and phenotypic traits commonly found in Eastern European populations, such as high cheekbones, striking blue or green eyes, sharp jawlines, and prominent features. Many of these women either have deep Slavic roots or possess a classic "Slavic beauty" aesthetic.
I'M Polish. If you put them next to each other probably. I've recognized a few Poles randomly from their appearance, German not so much. But if I know they're German I'm like, "Oh yeah, they have German features", but Poles, we don't all look the same. I guess we usually have darker hair. But I usually recognize Poles from their language, because they're loud and Germans I recognize because they travel in large groups and block sidewalks and hallways.
I'm offended that Hitler didn't consider us White. WTF? Screw you Hitler?
Yes I can either. I can even tell with high probability which Pole in my region (Gdańsk) is native and which ancestors were forcefully displaced after WW2 from former polish regions like west Ukraine or Belarus.
I guess those eastern Slavs got some admixture of Mongolian blood at 11th century. This looks exotic on girls but at boys it's less attractive. At least they can have pretty daughters. XD
All Slavic-Germanic-Baltic girls are pretty
Ty jesteś z Gdanska? 😲 Moja mama jest z Gdanska! Nie wiedziałem że jesteś Polkom😲
Give me two seconds and I can tell you which one is Mikolaj and which one is Hans. Poles have a weird feature where they manage to look like Slav and non Slav at the same time.

Being Germannic myself, I do see differences.
Poland is a buffer region between Rus people and people deriving from the Germanic tribes.
As "Poland" had been split up more than once in history, genetic dilution of course had taken place.
Which made way to what 'they' are today.
Afterthought: Hirtler had a problem with 'Slavic' people.
... because he was of a 'German"(sic!) minority in his Austrian native environment
you can't. cause a large chunk of germans do have polish or other slavic heritage. so yeah. it's culturally too close to have large visual differences. like i'm german with 50% polish genes. i was born and raised in germany as well as my parents and grandparents but people still think i may be polish. but i'm german.
so it's safe to say even germans can't, so i would argue most can't.
If two white people stand next to each other and I’m supposed to guess at their nationalities without hearing them talk, I would assume everyone was American
Well yes, Slavs and well, whatever you want to call Germans, Aryans? look different to one another.
I have a ridiculously sharp jawline.
I don't know. When I think of Russians, I picture straight, ski-slope noses. But a lot of Poles seem to have larger noses. On the other hand, hooked noses seem rarer among Germanic people, while they're much more common among the French
Not a chance.
If repeating that test with 100 people's faces, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't assess accurately the nationality of someone in DE, in the US, in AUS, in RU etc.
In what experience I have, poles tend to be a bit shorter than Germans, and have more rounded features
Usually you can't but, but sometimes you can. Some poles have very slavic appearances that are definitely not german.
My family was from Prussia that was a part of Germany and now is a part of Poland so no I can't.
yes. if you don't have blond hair you are polish.
including hitler. that stuff didn't have to make sense.
What kind of a Jaw would I have but that’s not my background any of those cultures I’ll tell you after you guess.
There are a lot of factors, but I'd definitely guess somewhere in the North. You could be Baltic
Yes. French, spainish and italian people too.
I have a friend who is of Polish heritage. She has real blonde hair, blue eyes and an angular face.
Poles are white and proud. Germans have always been cucked by jews and are afraid of white.
Yes, easily, Poles are Slavic, just like Czech, Russians, Bulgarians etc.
I can see that some people in here also can't tell the difference between Baltic and Finno-Ugric nations.
Latvia and Lithuania are Baltic nations, but Estonians are Finno-Ugric (ethnically related to Finns and Hungarians).
Finns are NOT "Scandinavian" (Swedes, Danish, Norwegian and Icelandic people are Scandinavians).
Further more... Prussians are not "Germanic", they were mostly germanized/assimilated by the German invaders - but their true origin is Baltic (related to Latvian and Lithuanian).
All are pretty much exactly the same...
@MerakSahibi they all look the same to me
Polaks are slightly drunker.
