Like, for example, a person like Beyoncé could easily sing in their basement if it was for personal fulfillment, yet they don't, and parade around in Halloween costumes on top of that.

To become immortal via presence, they die but live on in history. A regular person does not, they may live on through family for a bit but after a few generations? Not so. Though it'd be interesting to jump 300 years and if we are still here not in a wasteland if we even care or know who was famous back now cause a lot won't be I'd imagine though due to the internet and tech maybe it's more than you'd expect.
It fulfills personal goals as much as giving back to society : people want entertainment, they want actors, singers, directors, comedians.
Like any business, or industry - they're giving the consumer legitimately a product that legitimately is available - amusement aka entertainment. No not strippers/pornstars.
I'm talking your celebrities - they work hard for the fame and adoration. Long work days, long location shoots. No one said fame isn't work.
Lol I should ©️ that.
"No one said fame isn't work / or a hard day's work, like all our jobs" 🙃
They want to share their unique gift and for the money is my guess. Anyone that can earn lots by their own talents should.
I don't blame them nor do I get upset they profit off they God given gifts.
Because the bugs in her basement aren't buying concert tickets, you can't get rich when your only audience is a bunch of spiders
This made me smile today 😁☺️
Fame is something people fall into on their way to work. Some people enjoy entertaining others, whether musically or in theater. Both can bring fame. I would rather be a wealthy unknown.
