How do you tell if someone just started dipping?

He is one of my fiends and I feel very protective of him and so I think he just started dipping. How can you tell? I think he just started because his sister caught him with a dip can in his pocket and threatening to tell his mom. He said a friend dropped it at school and he was going to give it back now. We have been on break all week, and his friend who 'dropped it' lives right next to him. I'm not going to get him it trouble or anything, but I just want to know if he is doing it. I doubt he'll tell me the truth if I just go and ask him. I know that if someone dips then their teeth will start decaying and stuff like that happens in the mouth, but he's tall so I can't really tell that way. Plus I don't think he has been doing it long, so how do I tell if it has been only a week or month. He was really sweaty for no reason, does that have to do anything with it? (No reason as in no running, or any physical exercise, he was standing there and talking on the phone most of the time.)

High acidic content I assume. Maybe it was ranch flavour.

Look for a fadded ring outline in his pants, empty bottles in his truck, often pushes his tung to the bottem of his lip, has picked up any new ticks/twiches, look for white spots on his gums or if his breth smells like a minty pine/mint

When they start spitting a lot or running to away in private to spit. Or their mouth looks like something bulgy is in it. They will not talk much link

Yea, but how do you know that it's in their system. He wouldn't have it in his mouth, because we were at his house and his mom was inside cooking. Like, any behavior changes, or unexplainable jumpiness or something? His forehead was really sweaty... could that be something related?

Yea people who are using get all sweaty when they don't have it. People who use will lie and say its someone elses or they will snap at you when you ask about it

Inflamation of the gums and color change of his teeth. And his tongue will have a weird texture :/
