I want to date my boss.

There is a man who I really like and who I would like to date, except that he is my boss. I've been interested in him for 8 months. I have feelings for him, and I believe he has feelings for me too. There is not a day where I don't think about him. every time I go to work, I'm always looking forward to seeing him and talking to him. It's funny because most of the people I work with don't like him. I'm very reliable and hardworking, and he has told me that once. I've never liked him at first. Actually the only reason why I liked him was because I noticed he would act and behave in a way that made me believe he liked me. Even my mom thought he liked me. There was also a coworker who thought that we were friends. Now I have feelings for him. I don't know if he knows that I have feelings for him. I wish we could be together so that I could love him and take care of him. People always say "Follow your heart," but I can't follow mine. I'm 22 years old, and he's in his 30's. He's single with no wife and kids. This is a part time job that I don't plan on keeping in the future. I'm currently trying to look for a full-time job. He can't make a move on me though because he is my boss. I don't want to make a move because I'm afraid I will make it awkward if he rejects me because he's my boss.

I think he see's me differently than everybody else because I see him as more of a person or individual, rather than just as a superior.

Never get involved with people at work and the boss is even worse. Not only will your coworkers hate you and think you get preferred treatment but it puts an unbelievable strain on the relationship.

If you can get a new job like you wanted, by all means try it and see what happens, but not when you're still working for him.

Our coworkers wouldn't have to know. We could be in a relationship but keep it professional and strictly business when we're in the workplace.

You're wise not to cultivate a 'more-than-friendship' relation with him. When you work at a different job, then Go For It! Until then, stay professional.

When you get the other job handy and you quit,

ask to stay in contact with him.

Over the phone or in person confess your feelings for him.

Its good you are keeping your feelings doormat now because

could be a bad idea. hopefully you'll find a new job, so then you can make your move. I had a thing for this guy who was my temporary boss. he isn't anymore, we still flirt a lot though.

Are you sure he's not treating you differently from everyone else because you are defferent from everyone else? You said you're dependable and a hardworker so maybe he treats you more like a friend because you do what you are told to do.

I don't know how he treats everyone else because sometimes I work alone in my department. I know for a fact that some of his employee's don't like him, but for some reason I do.

its usually not a good idea to date your boss , sort of along the same line as dating your landlord . there could be some potential issues .
