Is being a "Pretty Boy" a bad thing?

Never before in my life was I considered a "Pretty Bay". In HS I was a "Skater" and dressed pretty ratty. I worked in construction from 16-21 and then joined the Military as a Paratrooper. All of a sudden I had plenty of money and exposure to people from all over the world, I quickly realized I needed to clean up my look and I had the budget to do so. I have really learned to take pride in the way I present myself, I am clean cut and dress fairly well, I workout everyday as part of my job and I try to ensure that my clothes fit right.

I have noticed lately that my some of my friends and girls I meet tell me or otherwise imply that I am a "pretty boy". I have throttled back somewhat returned to my t-shirt and jeans roots, albeit much nicer t-shirts and jeans and shoes to match. nothing dirty or ratty except work clothes for working on my car or doing yard/housework etc. I am still not afraid to wear a button down, especially plaid, or a polo.

It is hard for me to view myself as a pretty boy but I am also aware that is how My self image is fine but am I damaging the way other people view me?
