That looks and sounds like a wonderful outing, meetkitty123. And the lessons the children were learning are invaluable.
Who organized the outing? Was it a school? Kudos, kudos, kudos. I consider appreciation for the wonders of nature through direct contact to be essential for children's physical, mental and emotional health.
I've had countless outdoor experiences, beginning when I was very young. Some experiences were indescribably amazing. I couldn't even begin to recount them.
Nature is my church. It fills me with awe, wonder, love and gratitude.
It's been several years since I went on an adventure into the wild. Although I've been camping a few times in the local mountains. We've hiked on trails, gone out to see wildflowers in the spring, and swum in rivers, too.
Two years ago, we did some adventuring in New Mexico year Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
But, since then, I haven't had much opportunity other than going to a nearby park (I live in a rural area) to sit by the river. I did see a beaver there recently. That was awesome.
I get tremendous pleasure from my home. My wife and I have 30 acres on the west-facing slope of a hill in the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Our property is oak grassland and most of it is unimproved. So it's like a nature preserve. And the view is incredible.
We planted beautiful bushes, trees and flowers, as well as some raised beds for veggies and herbs in the gardens around our house. We have a small orchard of dozen fruit trees, including a variety if citrus.
Watching the bees and butterflies who come to our flowering bushes fills me with joy. Praying mantises, dragonflies and other bugs, lizards, snakes and frogs are a delight. Deer come to our garden all the time. It's fun when they have baby fauns.
We have lots of quail. Wild turkeys come around during certain times of the year. There are lots of other birds, including humming birds. I regularly see gray foxes, skunks, raccoons, and occasional possums and bobcats. I can hear coyotes on some nights, but they don't come around our house. It's rare when I see one because they are very shy.
So my home goes a long way to satisfying my love and need for nature. Going into my garden or just sitting on my porch is a joy.

Experiencing nature is a blessing. You went to a nice place; thanks for sharing.
Nature begins 1 minute away from my home and we meet each other daily.
Wow very pretty.
Went for a walk in the forest last weekend. It was alright. I was a bit bored, honestly. I was being goofy to try and make it more fun. I put my cell phone in my bra and played some favourite music like I was Iron Woman.
There was not a single critter or chirp the whole time. Very strange.
The exercise was fine, and the people we crossed paths actually said hi, some of them, which is unusual around here.
Sounds like you had a lovely day. Bet the kids enjoyed getting out to that beautiful area too.
This is part of one of my evening rides. I’m lucky to be surrounded by a number of twisty roads that are fun to travel, relax and unwind.. ironically.

I remember one time we took a field trip and we went to this park called Mingo Creek Park to see where I live has a history of Indians ( Native American etc ) the name of our city was named after an Indian in the boat on the Monongahela River not far from me and this was an old saying not sure it's true but he threw a coin in the River and said the money went to hella and that's how we got our names of the city and river but as far as the field trip Mingo Park has loads of nature and creeks and covered bridges I use to go with my cousin to Mingo and in the morning you can hear the woodpecker they did remodel the Park they put in walking trails and modern bathrooms for women and men
But I love nature across the river from where I live you can see trees and across the river is called Forward Township and they are part of Allegheny county while we are Washington county it's really amazing, that's nice you went on a field tripCouple of weeks ago , at a local nature reserve , created from gravel extraction , with one of England's major rivers nearby , the Trent. One of my favourite haunts. Great pictures , and that water cycle lesson must have uplifted as well as educated those kids. The top picture looks like a typical spring , that is the source of many rivers. We have in the UK , England especially , most of the world's chalk streams , a unique habitat with very clean , clear water. Here's one of my childhood haunts in the River Nar , Norfolk , East Anglia , Eastern England.

I don't have pictures from my excursion but I am posting a stock photo of the last place I went to enjoy nature:
This is where I go to enjoy the beaches of north Florida. Four miles of absolutely pristine beach, no development whatsoever.
We do a lot of camping, so we have the pleasure of enjoying nature quite often. Our favorite places are the Umatilla National forest in eastern Washington, and the Hoodoo Range in northern Idaho. I never feel so much at peace as when I’m in the woods.
I'm outdoors roughly 8 hours a day; I don't enjoy it for the sake of simply being in nature any more than I have a profound appreciation for oxygen.
Specific areas that I really enjoyed were the Alps around Interlakken as well as the Black Forest in southern Germany, the Mokore Conservancy in Zimbabwe, and the Alaskan wilderness especially between Anchorage and Seward.A close friend and I went on a hike one day. It was like a 6ish mile hike through the woods to get to a cute little pond. We both had backpacks and brought some snacks, water and a blanket to lounge on. It was nice to just disconnect and not really worry about anything. Actually ended up getting naked once we were settled in. We spent all day there and walked back towards sunset. It was such a lovely day, perfect weather!
I think around June or so I visited a park around 20 minutes from our house, it was wonderful cause I saw a beautiful raccoon in a tree making my trip all worth it.
I'm Outdoors everyday I love winter summer fall and spring pine trees rivers lakes and it's very quiet
Spent quite a bit of time on the beach last week, and earlier this summer spent a week in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
Last time I was in nature was this past Sunday. I took my kids to play at the lake. It was a beautiful day out.
Are you SURE you didn't lose any? Because that looks like more than 7 kids to me in the photo. Lol. You'd better count them again! 🤣😆
Yesterday.
www.zwin.beWe have lots of bushwalks on the weekends around my home. I also like going iut on Dads boat when i can too
When I was in Wales in July. I'm literally been either in the city or stuck in isolation.
Beautiful pictures! What a great day for you and for the students!
Sunday, admittedly almost every time I go out the back gate.
Other than working outside I don't take the time to smell the flowers. A bee might fly up in my nose, sting my brain and make my head swell up like a balloon. Rotflmao
We were at the park just a few days ago.
We were at the Great Lakes a couple of months back as well.
Just sitting on my back covered deck and watching the birds feed and chilling count? I do that a lot.I live by multiple woods and parks you can go hiking and mountain bike riding so I enjoy the outdoors daily.
Sunday, took the new ride out for a rip
