Has anyone else noticed how the more you travel, the less places impress you?

Seriously, like half the places I dreamt of visiting when I was younger, don't seem that appealing anymore. It's starting to seem that a lot of countries have the same kinds of sites, only they're much better in other countries, plus more. Like for example, I used to be really interested in Morocco and Tunisia, but now I'm like, "I can see similar architecture and ruins in southern Europe, and at least I won't get culture shocked."

Africa doesn't appeal to me at all anymore, except South Africa and Algeria, and almost everything north of the Alps seems incredibly boring.

And I've completely lost all interest in the Orient.

After visiting countries like Turkey, Peru and Greece, there are few countries left that make me go "WOW!"

I used to love collecting countries, still kind of do, but at this point if someone offered me a free trip to either Turkey or Egypt, I'd revisit Turkey.

A lot of countries I use to think were cool, seem very shitty and boring now.

Have any other travelmen or gals experienced this?

I'm kind of starting to see why so many people revisit the same countries.
