Also people seem to diss the southern states and California the most. Would you rather live in the south or Cali?
The south is just home to me and where I feel the most comfortable. But I often have to work for out of state, northern companies to get better pay because my networking skills/connections and pay in general kinda suck down here lol. I feel like if I left the south, I’d still be in the south. It may be called North Carolina but thats the most north I’m really willing to go. Either that or head west to Texas. If not that then over east to Georgia. Plus it feels good not having people question my accent cause nearly every mf in the south got the same one 😂👌 #FeelFreeToList
Nah I don't think I'm ever going to live in the U. S. in general. if I ever move somewhere it'll be in Asia I think, and it probably won't be for my whole life either unless I find special connections with people.
I've lived in a different area of my own country and that made me realize it can be quite hard. I was in a more rural place. Literally every person I met knew all the other people since they were in kindergarden. I was just the random guy from the city who's also autistic and doesn't fit in that well.
It makes you feel isolated like you've lost your life. In this city even though when you go outside you don't know anybody on the street, it still feels like home and it's easier to get to know people who grew up here as well.
In the past I thought for sure I was gonna live somewhere else for some time or just leave for good. I never felt super connected to Switzerland because I was online and into entertainment and learning about different places and Switzerland is not a relevant place in this world. But now I'm a lot more appreciative of my hometown and the people that live here. It really makes a huge difference where you grew up. It shapes you in small but distinct ways.
I might still move away for a few years or I might just stay here my whole life and just travel a bunch. I don't know atm I have enough on my plate. I'm moving but staying in the same city I don't have any plans to leave atm :).

I’m scared of the South😂 I don’t think I’d fit in down there. I DEFINITELY wouldn’t fit in with country white folks, lmao, that’s like the exact opposite of my vibe. Can’t stand country music either. And the heat…. that’s a big ol’ HELL NAW from me, haha.
Florida and Texas strike me as the peak of American insanity lmfao, like that’s EXACTLY what I want America NOT to be like. Just crazy fucks who think “muh freedom” supersedes making concessions for a cooperative and orderly society. I just don’t want to be anywhere near people who think and behave like that.
The South has its charm, for sure…. and BBQ, lmao🤤 But every time I get a glimpse into Southern life, with all due respect, more often than not I’m left thinking “fuck is wrong with them?”🤨😂 I don’t know, something about the mentality of a lot of folks I meet or interact with from down there…. these are the kind of human beings who are….”not for me”, lmfao
As a lifelong Florida resident, born and raised in Sarasota area I absolutely love this state with exception of its current political positron or at least that of our soon to be gone governor with concerns about women's health (these guys who think they own our pussy) and control them. You mentioned Texas well that state is worse when it comes to women, their governor and many of it congressmen who have their heads up trumps ass want to totally own your vagina,
Good luck with your quest and I've heard many good things about NC
If it wasn't for the cost of living in Southern California, I would certainly move there and live there. I hate the south because the pay is pretty bad here if you don't have a stem career or a career in business. There's also not much to do where I live. I live in South Carolina aka the retirement state. So it's mostly for people who are older to live here, not for young people. I'm sure there are other states in the south that are much better like Georgia or North Carolina, but for me the south just isn't for me.

I want to move to Florida. I currently live in the northeast. I never liked it. I always said that if anyone should have been born down south it was me. I live in the northeast and the winters are way too long. The taxes are high and so is the cost of everything. We ha e rhe highest electric rates in the country except for Hawaii. Car insurance is high as well. We have state taxes and a plethora of other fees. And now there are liberals dictating how we run our lives and illegal aliens are everywhere. I really hate this place
I mean never say never, but I would only live in the United States for an insanely high paid job. Otherwise, what’s the point from a European perspective? With the guns bullshit, the race bullshit, the shallowness, the homeless situation, the high prices… I don’t want to experience that. I am sure there are still many fantastic towns and communities everywhere in the United States where people have great neighbors and live happily, but so are here. On average, we have a higher quality of life here.
I'm from California and now live in the South/east North Carolina. California is beautiful, has the best unions , best weather and night life but... It is very pricey and all about keeping up with the Jones'. It's very Hollywood everyone has vanity. The pay is great but it's not caught up to the cost of living.
North Carolina- love the cost of living, the pay , the four seasons. I feel a bit more balanced here but... If you're looking for marriage it's not the place to come sorry. I say this because the south is the bible belt and most people here are established marriage wise. Anything left is usually implants, then from other states outside of the Bible belt that don't place much emphasis on marriage or unhinged youngsters wanting to be the next love and hip-hop stars.I've lived in the deep south for most of my life, and when I retire, I'm moving north!
The summers here are BRUTAL: day after day after day of heat indexes in the triple digits. You break a sweat just walking outside to check the mail!
Also too many good ol' boy GOP politicians who think than anyone with a college degree other than some lawyers and petroleum engineers are "woke," and think that as long as a state has agriculture, tourism, and fossil fuels, it needs nothing else.
But the weather is the worst reason not to live in the South on a permanent basis.
As far as California goes, I would not mind living in Tahoe, Truckee, Napa, or Sonoma if I could afford it, but cost of livng is very high!
Well you know full well I'm never leaving my home state I have too good a setup to ever move BUT if I ever did I would actually love to live more south, I want to visit Texas some day. I don't exactly but probably not Texas I think the summer would kill me. I have to leave in one of the more northern southern states where it doesn't get to miserable hot 🥵
The South has its charm! I could see myself living in a smaller town in, like, North Carolina. The weather's nice, there's beautiful scenery, and the cost of living can be reasonable. But on the other hand, some areas can be a bit too traditional for me, and the summers can get brutal. It really depends on what you're looking for! What about you, are you considering a move down South?
I've lived in ten states and 15 or so towns/cities. In the north, south, east, west and middle.
I'd rather live in the south than California. But that doesn't mean I'd want to live just anywhere in the south. It also depends on how you define the south. For example I don't consider Florida or Texas as the south, but most people do.
I live part time in Georgia only for winter because of the climate, but the rest of the time in a blue state. There are parts of Georgia where they'd vote in slavery again if they could, and those residents are backwards rednecks with the IQ of a fence post. I don't live in those poverty-stricken towns, I live near Savannah, where there are still lots of dumbass folks but it's mainly progressive. I would NEVER live in the deep south even if you paid me. I'd never live in a red state - EVER!! You're better off in Oregon than northern California.
I am out-of-town so I don't have much idea at all but I'll play the what if. I think Texas, as I gather that is where IT jobs are going and I would be moving for a job. With California i have the impression that people are camping on the street and I have had enough of that where I am.
Overall I'd be more comfortable in a place that has a strong rural background.
Between Texas and California I have little impression of. I do like the Southern accent.
I would never live in California, this is because a home the size of the one I own right now would cost me 10k per month or more in mortgage.. The cost of living is way too high.
I did live in Texas for a year and I did live in Florida for two years.Probably not. I feel about the upper midwest the way you feel about the south. My sisters always say they want to move south and get away from the harsh Iowa winters, and they want me to move down there as well. But I was born in Iowa and I will die in Iowa. Iowa will always be my home. Midwest represent! 😂
I have lived in SC, Georgia and Tennessee. I prefer Tennessee of these.
The ideal state is North Carolina. It has everything.Yeah I would be okay to live in California because I was born in San Diego but I also thought living in Arizona, Nevada, or Florida might be the only southern states I would live in maybe Texas. I probably live any southern state because I hate the cold but I think living in Iowa where I live is actually the best place to live right now with all there’s out of control natural disasters and weather conditions from climate change.
idkk which states but the south bc it's not that different from the mid-west lol
i haven't lived in any but I've been in some and it feels the exact same unless you're like super south like florida or texasas sim said here it is a retirement state so when i get to retire i will probably move south to s. carolina, to flee the blizzards but not florida due to annual hurricanes.
I find the U. S. to be shitty in general - on my own behalf.
But:
as the entire planet is shitty as well meanwhile, I would not mind... as long as I find a few people I can personally agree with.Hell YEAH..
Great part of the world , if I had something going absolutely , and I'd need a food source.
I would not live in America to begin with. I’m sure it has its charms and target BUT other than that, I’ll stick above the boarder.
Too hot, too swampy, too many gators, mosquitoes the size of baseballs, I think I'll pass.
I'd never live in California. I like being able to afford to live.Sure.
Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Texas, maybe Arizona.
