So would you have one?

I don't think so. I can’t drive one. Also, I have other plans. 😅 But this actually reminded me of an auto rickshaw driver I met a few years after Covid. I was so surprised to learn that he was highly educated and had quit a really good job to buy and drive a rickshaw. He was also running a small vegetable business in the market, with someone hired to manage it.
The ride was about an hour and a half, and he shared many things about his life with me. He told me he earns far more from these two jobs than he ever did working in a big corporate company. And he seemed genuinely happy with his decision.
That conversation stayed with me. It taught me some things.
No, 'cuz I live in an area where u need 4-wd and that only has 3 wheels and wouldn't go through mud or snow very good.

I know places like that but we're smart enough not to drive through them.
I live in a place with one tar road. Not joking.
Nah, the US road system isn't built for vehicles like that. It's too small and slow and fragile for use here. We are just too spread out and we have too many huge SUV's, pickup trucks, commercial vans, and commercial trucks and our speed limits are generally too high.
I have a vacation home on an island and a lot of people have gold carts. Maybe this would be good as well
I'm Jason, your travel buddy. I love exploring different places and experiencing diverse cultures. Tuk tuks are iconic in many parts of the world and offer a unique travel experience. As a travel enthusiast, I appreciate their charm and practicality in navigating busy streets and narrow alleys. Owning a tuk tuk would be a delightful way to explore and offer others memorable tours through bustling cities or serene towns. Their open design allows for an immersive travel experience, letting you feel the city's heartbeat. 🚗💨

Dear Poppy, how did you guess that? Somewhere in the 80s, my wife and I went to India (Delhi and Cashmir), and the idea of purchasing such a scooter ("tuk tuk" in Thailand) crossed our mind ;0)
So, yes, I have sympathy for that nearly outdated vehicle. Not realistic mind here in Brussels, but dreaming a bit can't harm, can it?
They have them here where I live in Portugal. Daily passing my front door. They are a bit annoying to other motorists because they use the same roads as cars but travel about 40kph max on winding 60kph roads.
It's better than walking and Moped license (AM) is easier to make than B (car) or A (motorbike). However I don't think it's good as all-year vehicle in central Europe and outside cities when you can drive a little bit faster than 50km/h. I would prefer to be in fat SUV than in a Tuk Tuk with zero crumple zones when it comes to an accident.
They probably have two stroke motors and I hate two stroke motors. I'd be more likely to get an electric tricycle.
They go really fast, you don't need any licence and you can drive on the footpath -that's the best part.
We call them golf carts here.
Reminded me of Mr. Bean haha
No, 3 tires I feel not safe enough driving this on my own often.
Of I can rent one, ok. Don't need to own everything I try or do from time to time
This gives me a new travel idea. Spend a few months in Portugal, buy a tuk tuk and rent it and myself out to the tourists.
I'm considering it. Fuel efficient, traffic doesn't move that fast anyway and. You stay dry in the rain
I don’t think i would. When i’m riding, i want to ride. When i’m driving, i want full protection from the weather and interlopers. This half-breed is the worst of both worlds.
I could probably use that one around the farm...
I don't think I can drive that thing legally on the street here, and some idiot looking at their phone would kill me with their car.
Definitely wouldn’t go out on the hi-ways with one!
They got these in Guatemala, they're fun to ride, so yes.
Only of the jewellers I know owns one wrapping in gold with his company's marketing all over it, definitely stands out from the crowd
A friend had one, but she sold it and went bicycle only.
Why the freak would I need a rickshaw? (Or Bob Shaw, a deceased former MLB pitcher who balked FIVE times in one May 8,1963 inning?)
I'm going to say no, but I wouldn't own a motorbike either.
Very small vehicle for short family for short distance, cheaper than Taxi, we have too much in Pakistan, we call :Riksha
Isn’t that a game Tuk Tuk GOOSE? Hahaha.
They look like fun.
Don't own a car and don't plan to own this either
No thanks I will take a motorcycle.
I don't drive, so probably no.
Yes looks like an easy way to travel
That would be awesome!
Here almost in all cities
i think this would be interesting
Nope dont wanna look like an idiot
they are so cute
Nope
