Like what the HELL??? SIX fucking months for rape??

There was NO he said/she said BS to deal with. He said she wanted it. But I don't think if there's two witnesses who testify to seeing him rape the girl BEHIND A DUMPSTER, counts as SEXUAL ASSAULT.

I personally believe rapists such as he should get jail for life, or killed mercilessly. We don't need his kind on the Earth any longer than necessary.

Rape is rape.

Rape is NOT sexual assault.

Rape is NOT sex.

Being wet/hard, being drunk, being passed out, being your SO, being dressed "provocatively", what the fuck EVER, does NOT mean that it is NOT rape!

Sex without consent equals rape, just as swimming without breathing equals drowning.

I am not mad because he is a "White, male, athlete from a prestigious school", I don't think any of that has to do with anything besides the fact that the judge allowed him time off because the judge is a piece of shit, and his bumbling incompetence means that a rapist got off easy.

Personally I believe, if he was a black, female athlete from the same school, guys would be saying how the rape victim "should consider themselves lucky", etc etc. The judge most likely would have let her off just as easy in this hypothetical situation.

I think that that judge should be fired and even though double jeopardy is not allowed [being tried twice for the same offense], I think when it comes to rape/murder and there is new evidence, he should get his ass tried again in court! I mean come the fuck on, there were TWO witnesses and proof and just oh my fucking god.

Not only that, but I can't believe people are defending his choice. Beyond that, his father defended what he did. He called six months a high cost for "twenty minutes of action." Her severe trauma summed up in four words that completely dismiss what his son did to her. It's monstrous.

It is a bunch of bullcrap from the little I've read about Brock Tuner. Chances are his life is ruined regardless though. It is kind of like the Casey Anthony case. The court found her officially "not guilty," but the media coverage on the case really made her name known and associated her with being guilty.

I imagine that will haunt them around the rest of their lives. A title of 'sex offender' only goes so far-- that takes a little digging into someone's name/history to find. However, when they have a wikipedia page, pictures of their face, a bunch of headlines calling him rapist and stuff, and also his name easily popping up on google, the past isn't so hidden anymore.

Brock Turner, unlike Casey Anthony though, was actually convicted as guilty... So chances are he'll be an outcast for life. Not only is he a convicted rapist... People know he is a convicted rapist. That's a good way to be socially outcasted. So, while he may not have gotten proper jail time, he will be punished I bet indirectly.

On a side note, there is a reason rapists are not given death penalty. There was this discussion done before (back in the 80s? Idk). Why? Because if rapists are given death penalty, what's to stop them from murdering the rape victim without mercy? Death, the penalty, would be the same regardless. Making rape not death-penalty-worthy gives at least a bit higher of a chance of the rape victim escaping with their life. That's also the reasoning I believe rape should be punished severely, but not as drastic as a murder. It's a fine line.

It's even less than the 6 months now. He gets to get out early for good behavior I believe. I feel like this doesn't just affect the victim in this case, but all the victims of rape. For someone to be caught red handed, for there to have been witnesses, and the outcome is a couple of months is so disgusting. The majority of rape cases don't have witnesses. How is the victim in those situations suppose to come forward? How can they have any faith that their rapist will be punished for what they did?

The sad thing is, if this was a black man, this would have a completely different outcome. We all know this.

Lock him in a dark cell, strap him to a board so that he has zero ability to move anything,. stick a catheter and a colostomy bag into him, Feed him through a IV, and then come in and change him once a day.
Do that for the rest of his miserable fucking life.
Or option two,
Take him out to the middle of nowhere alaska at a place where no one will ever remember the location of an 100 miles from a road.
Make him dig his own grave, Kneel him down, Shoot him in the gut and bury him alive. No grave marker, no way for ANYONE to ever know where he is buried and wipe all mention of him from public record, make him a non person.

I think that the 14 years he could have gotten would have been too lenient. His father should do time for calling rape "twenty minutes of action".
My hope is that the complete outrage over this will lead to changes in sentencing guidelines because there is NO way 6 months should be any legal possibility in any rape case.
Hopefully the effort to recall Judge Aaron Persky succeeds. Potential jurors are already refusing to serve on juries for other unrelated cases in his courtroom because of the Brock Turner case.

He is complaining that his son is getting punished for 20 minutes of action, and he can't eat steak anymore. The girl is suffering ten times more and neither the father or son care. It's messed up that they can't even acknowledge what he did was wrong. They only care about his suffering.

Six months is insanely short because it's roughly 5% of 10 years (which should be the allocated sentence duration for rape at the VERY least). I did my Math for that one lol.
