Honestly, first with the gorilla being shot dead, then the Orlando terrorist attack on gays, then the 2-year old eaten by the alligator...at this point I am not surprised.
Stuff like this is slowly becoming just another "Oh that's sad." thing, rather than the expected, "oh my god how terrible." or "I can't believe that happened." Because yea it's terrible, but I can believe whatever it is, happened.
At the rate America is going, these very sad events are just becoming apart of life.
"Oh so another group of 20 _____ people died? That's sad." And then we move on with our lives, except for those that are directly affected by this.
Look at the candidates for our president, look at all of these sad tragedies happening in America, and tell me that we're not going downhill.

I'm not exactly an avid fan of America, in fact I plan on leaving this god-forsaken country after I go cross-country. I don't like the way America has their college's set up, nor their school board. Then there's all this controversy between NRA and APA and all that jazz.
There's those pretentious vegans and hipsters, shitty music that is "loved" throughout the country, ignorant people who don't understand that terrorists can be American...
Yea I know I sound like "another teenager complaining about her country when she doesn't realize how good it is." and all, and I get it, I'm glad our country is the "freest" but I don't think it truly is the most free country out there.
Okay okay off topic- whatever happens next will probably be some guy does another Sandy Hook (shoots up a school), and honestly, my eyes won't go wide, I won't ask what happened, all I'll do is send their families my sympathies and go along my day.
Tragedy is apart of our world, but there's all this...how do I say...hype, I guess, over the tragedies in America. Everyone protests over an animal being shot (for a childs protection), but no one cares about the children who're being shot at in 3rd world countries.

That little girl saw the camera but thought it was a gun so she surrendered. She is a Syrian child and is so used to violence....my heart breaks for her. Look at those eyes and the fear in her face. That poor baby girl.
But this is America so no one gives a shit about other countries tragedies and those who truly do are in the minority. I'd rather hear about tragedies going on in Syria or some other country like that, than an American one. Why? Because in America, there's always gonna be fucked up people doing fucked up things and it's just another part of life.
In those other countries such as Syria, it's become their life too, but I want to change that. As many of you know, I wish to travel the world and become a successful author. Well I wish to take apart of the change in the other countries. I feel as if America is a lost cause at this point.

Footnote: I want your opinion, but don't be a disrespectful and rude swain. I'll block you if you cannot be respectful.
