Guys what do you define as "clingy"?

Like if you like (I don't mean your in love but like) a girl do you mind if the girl calls or texts every day? or is that too much? how often should she call or text? Break it down for me!

If you feel like commenting on this situation I asked for a guy's number and I was the one who called him up. We seemed to really connect but I don't know how often to call or text. Any advice?

Every day is a bit much for me. 3-4 times a week, besides going out with her, would be my ideal, but that's just me; I'd like both of us to have our independence, and for me, an everyday text/call would feel like we're too dependent on each other too soon (especially if we're not "in love"

but "in like," as you say).

Maybe with the guy you're interested in now, maybe try 1-2 times a week, that seems pretty harmless to me. Especially if you mix it up between calling and texting. You're not yet fully a part of his life, but you're reminding him that you're there and giving him space to think about you. See if he returns the favor. If you start dating him and you've been going on dates for a while, AND he's enthusiastic to talk to you/be around you, then you can slowly increase the number of calls/texts per week. All of this is just a suggestion though. The best of luck to you.

Unfortunately it really depends on the person.

I kind of expect to get a call or text from my girlfriend every day. If she's busy that's cool, but for the most part I expect it ever day. I like to have my girlfriend close for the most part.

Clingy to me is when your partner starts forcing you into doing stuff with her when you really want to do something else. If I can't hang out with my friends without her complaining or trying to guilt me into hanging out with her instead we have a problem.

The girl I'm interested in now, she loves it that I call everyday and if I don't call her she calls me. We talk for an hour or two on the phone then later that night we talk on yahoo for a few more hours. I don't mind clingy at all, I love being called and texted by the girl I like, too many people complain about "clingy" this and "clingy" that when actually some of us really do like it.

depends.. send a txt and let him know ure thinkin about him.. if he txt's back and keeps the convo going then keep it goin.. but if you txt him and he doesn't answer or is just like "ok" or doesn't keep the convo then let it go and maybe try back much later. If he's the type that doesn't really like to txt alot, then let it go, don't bother him. try to mimick what he does.. if he likes to txt and txts you back a lot then you know its probably ok. but I like it when my girl txt's me and lets me know she's thinkin about me.

But since ure not dating yet.. play it cool, almost hard to get.. see if he is thinking about you..

I don't think it matter's how much you text a guy,

It's the attitude you use if he don't reply right away or for a couple days that can make you sound needy/clingy.

Just try casually and always stay positive about the txting situation. Never be negative

I personaly would enjoy getting a call or a text message everyday. I wouldn't consider that clingy unless you do it like every couple minutes. But it would be nice if she did it once or a couple times a day to know she's thinking of me.

Personally I would love it if someone called me every day :)

Some people find it strange though if they don't like you back.

Each guy is different! You'll have to ask him to answer this to get the best answer...

I wouldn't mind getting texts from the girl I like, I'm not a big fan of talking on the phone but I love getting texts, it shows that she is thinking about me. I've got at least 100 text in my phone from the girls I like just since friday. Does he seem like a big texter? Because if he does then I'm sure he doesn't mind, just if you send him one wait for him to reply don't send multiple texts that may come off as needy.

going steady wise, I'd say call or text everyday is normal. Sometimes I'd get three in a day from my GF. But sometimes I need space so I try to keep my distance for about 2 days but still text here and there.
