She says she likes me, but she doesn't text me, she always waits for me to text first?

We hang out and we obviously have interest in each other and said we like each other, but she doesn't really text me that often. During the week if we text it's only because I initiate it. On the weekends she'll text me to hang out but that's pretty much it. Girls, why would you do this?
