What height is considered short?

Question

Guys what's the ideal height for a girl? What's the cutoff between "short" and "average"? How about between "average" and "tall"? What is a "cute" "petitie" "short" or "ideal" height for girls in the eyes of guys?

I'm about 179cm...

So short is to me when she is 20-25cm shorter than me, and that's real short. (cute and petite)

As with everything I cannot expect something of the appearence from the girl I am 'possibly' falling in love with, and I prefer not to do so. Eventhough its really tempting sometimes to picturing my "dream girlfriend". Even if I try to, there are so many pictuers appearing in my mind, that I cannot really sum exactly how my "dream" girlfriend would look like.

But sure I do have a "kinda" ideal height for a girl, she should be a bit shorter than me, whether its 1.5cm or 15cm I concider it as a "ideal" height. Or maybe at the same height, it doesn't matter. But it'll be harder to fit into my pre-visually ideal if she is taller/much taller than me, cause usually tall girls isn't my thing. But maybe someday I'll change my mind(?) who knows =)

I remember reading how the general psychological choice (now this is just general, not always) is that males find a mate who is around 0.7 of their height to be most attractive. It's a ratio (1-0.7) so any height can do. Also there are many couples who DON'T satisfy this ratio, it's just a subtle trend thing.

As for actual heights, I think (I Think) somewhere around 5'6" - 5'9" is average and any shorter or taller is, well, shorter or taller.

But it's also personal; If a guy's short (say, 5'7") he's not just looking around for a girl who's shorter and satisfies the ratio, he's also looking at girls that are as tall as, or taller than him. For me, being 6'2", I like shorter girls, but if I met a tall girl (my height or even taller) I wouldn't be adverse to dating her.

Just be happy and confident with your height. Don't hate on small women and call them chowawas like the other poster - don't hate on tall women and call them amazons either.

5'4 is actually the average height for a woman.

I am only 5'1, and it has been hard but I've learnt to embrace my size and just laugh it off if people make fun of me. Confidence is sexy no matter what height.

lol I'm 6ft my boyfriend is like 6'3 it is rough finding tall guys but mostly they don't care usually they're like I looove long sexy legs and when your short its cute and adorable so you can't really go wrong either tall and sexy or short and cute :) plus lucky you can wear any heels and fit into kids sizes lol

Im a 16 year old girl and im 5'8 and 113 pounds and I think most men like 5'8 and lower but it dosent matter about what your height or weight is love is love it comes in all shapes and sizes!!! ( and if your a tall girl like 5'8 or taller and someone says your to tall say "well your to short" ) !!! :)

I would prefer to date girls who were chest height, so do the math. I'm 6'0 you're 5'4, so you would be around a guy that size shoulder height. It depends on the guy because some guys are 5'4 so a girls your size would be too tall. 5'4 for a guy my size is perfect anything under 5 feet may be a problem. So average sized guy likes girls between 5'0 and 5'7. Short- under 5 feet average or preferable between 5'0- 5'7. acceptable 5'8-5'10 too tall 5'11 and up. It would be different for a guy lets say shaqs size. But for the average guy this is best, so you are just fine the way you are. Guys don't like girls as tall or nearly as tall as them.

5'3 and below is short (girls that height are my kryptonite I love them)

5'4- 5'8 is average usuly the ones who look good in everything

5'9-6'0 is tall always the ones the other 2 groups envy for their height

6'1 + is Amazon woman and kinda scares me..

i love almost all heights of women and have happily dated women of all size shape and personality. but I have to say that fun sized is the best to me so all the girls under 5'0 and over 18.. call me...lol jk

I've noticed if you don't make a big deal about height girls won't either.. If you are not confident then you tend to always choose smaller girls.. I personally don't find short girls attractive. Sorry. I'm 5'7 successful guy with some resources. So, I date girls that are at least my height or taller. I like tall gorgeous women by my side. They look amazing in anything from cocktail dress to workout gear. Last weekend I met a 6 foot blonde and brunette both with beauty queen like proportions one was a model. Both stunningly beautiful. Things are going good with one of them so we shall see.

If you have the opportunity and the balls, date a tall beautiful woman like 5"11 or so. It feels like you stepped out of a Lamborghini. ;-)

I consider those averages ideal.Two or three inches shorter or taller may be considered short or tall, depending on build and general appearance (some can tend to look more or less than actual). Generally I would consider two inches difference to still be average (perhaps 25-75 percentile or half of everyone is two inches more or less than average).

I'd say short is below five four, medium is below five eight, but above the short range, and tall is anything else. As far as the ideal height... I really don't know. I've dated women that were five eleven and 4 eleven, both of which were very attractive young women... I think normally I'm attracted to girls around 5 foot sixish. In the end personality trumps all height discrepancies.

i don't know I kinda got a thing for really short girls.  that said I have also been out with really tall girls that were also beautiful.  Don't really matter.  I am a short guy and that doesn't make me any less of a man, though some women would never go out with me because of that.  because of that I don't think I could discriminate women as either too tall or too short

Most men in the world are in height range 175-185 and women 160-170 so yeah thats it but end of the day height hardly equals love or lust at 5'10" i love looking at girs close to my heigbt and even shorter. Also in men, some great looking heartthrobs have been 5'7"-
