70% of Black Women Being Single Is A MYTH? What Do You Think?

I love this. Someone actually read the entire study: https://www.topix.com/forum/afam/TRG1VF3HL5JHN8EGR

"A recent report looked at the state of the American family and came up with some interesting conclusions. Among blacks, about 70% of black mothers are unmarried. Now I know we've seen that figure all over topix, thanks to sbt and all the other trolls who use it to remind us daily of the wretched state of the black family. However, the reality is that while those women are UNMARRIED, they are NOT SINGLE. The report says that half of those women are LIVING WITH their babies dad. 30% of those women are dating or romantically involved with the babies dad even though they may not live together. The ones who are not living with or involved with the baby's dad, are usually living with another man. The remainder of those women are usually supported by their families and extended families where there are male figures to provide support and guidance.

What this does is explode the myth of 70% unmarried bw. Sure, these women may not have that piece of paper, but they are NOT SINGLE and definitely NOT ALONE. They have men in their lives and in 80% of the cases, those men are the babies father."

I've always thought so. Where I live, I see Black dads with their kids all of the time.
