My ex boyfriend saw me with other guy

Few days ago my ex saw me with another guy in a pub, he was just my mate. me and my ex broke up 5 weeks ago. He seemed really nervous and kind of angry, kept looking over. I don't want him thinking it was my boyfriend because that would just look like this is a rebound relationship and I'm just trying to make him jealous. I think this is really childish, and I fear he will get with some girl just too make me jealous to now. What to do?

You two are broken up, so you don't have to explain anything to him. He can ask who that was, like a normal person would. Not assume anything. If your ex wants you back he should make that step towards doing so. There is not point being single, and acting has if you are in a relationship. If he gets jealous, then he still does care. You two should try to work something out if you still have feelings for each other. Hopefully the reason why you two broke up isn't enough to not want to give it another chance.

I'm not sure if he was jealous, but from the way he behaved I could tell he was nervous, awkward, and upset. My guy friend that also was there told me he was pissed off. Other than that, there are still feelings left because we kind of avoided each other, I mean if I wouldn't have any feelings left for him I would have no problem with coming up to him and talking to him or I would even dance with him(Im really open and outgoing and so is he )

I read it and so sorry this happened to you. Clearly he is hurting inside because his heart is conflicted. He loves another woman but yet he cares about you a lot. Although it doesn't feel right , he did the right thing by giving himself time to heal and get over his past relationship. If he ignored loving another woman and kept together with you it would have made your relationship go down a downards spiral. He left at the right time. I think he thought getting into a relationship with you would

Allow him to get over his feelings for her. But in a sense it all backfired on him. He didn't mean for this to happen. Although it is clear you two still have feelings for each other it's best to separate yourself from him. It can take months to years for him to get over this girl, and you don't even know if he will come back to you. Maintain your distance from him, it will help you get over him faster. When you see him in public you can have a short hello or a conversation, but keep things at that.

Whatever your ex does, he'll do for his own reasons. Just because you think you're still the centre of his world, doesn't mean you actually are.
