Can you like someone without realizing it?

Everyone says me and my best friend (a guy) like each other, though both of us say we don't. My mom claims that he does like me, he just doesn't see it yet and will eventually realize it. A friend has told me that I like him, I just haven't realized it yet. Is this even possible? Just wondering. Thanks!

Yes. There was a guy I liked for a long time -- we'd hang out all the time and were basically best friends before he started suddenly avoiding me, which is most likely when everything got too intense for him. I caught up way later, realizing that I liked him as more than a friend, basically the whole time. I'd never had a boyfriend or dated before, so it was a strange thing for me to really like a guy that way.

Yeah, that's totally possible. Sometimes you subconsciously don't want to admit you like someone, or sometimes you don't pick up on the chemistry as soon as other people might.

Yes it is especially if you're friends. If you have feelings for him it'll hit you eventually

Yes, it's definitively possible to like someone without knowing it. I think that you should get closer to him and eventually tell him that you have feelings for him. I don't think a guy would usually be the first to tell a girl that he has feelings for her, so he might know that he likes you but is waiting until he knows that you have feelings for him also.
